1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for helping my sister to repair her car smoothly, and also for helping me to pass my boat inspection, renewal of license and SG flag. All these procedures are lengthy and at times involve unnecessary costs. I prayed to you for help and you helped me complete all these tasks smoothly with reasonable costs. In 1999, my niece was diagnosed with cancer when she was just 16 years old. Through the advice of a Catholic friend, I came to Novena to pray for her. After 7 months of chemotherapy and treatment, she recovered. Today, she is married with 2 beautiful children. I am deeply grateful for your intercession, and I want to express my sincere thanks.

My husband and I give thanks to you for your intercession. My husband secured a decent job after 4 months of attempting interviews and applications. My medical scare was resolved and I have been cleared of my health issue.

5. Mother,

Thank you for obtaining the graces I needed to wake up recently. Critical illness made a deep dent in my faith life, and as I valued my privacy and to keep peaceful, I isolated myself and few knew about my needs. I thank God for those few, for their support in prayer, their humanity and I ask God to repay them fully for that, especially nurses, doctors, allied health and of course my family. I am at the end stage, and expect further weakening, and more care. I know I have to follow the advice of Psalm 46, of being still and knowing that the Lord is my God. Please be with me.

Our family recently went through a very challenging period filled with lies, disappointment, and emotional strain. I was deeply worried about the emotional and physical well-being of my in-laws and my wife. For nearly a month, we struggled through this difficult time, and my constant prayer was for strength and healing. With time, we slowly overcame these challenges, and peace has returned to our hearts. Thank you for interceding and supporting us.

I'm overwhelmed with gratitude as I write this letter to thank you for listening to my prayers. Last year, I faced a daunting health scare with a potential ovarian cancer diagnosis. But I prayed to you with all my heart, and you were with me every step of the way. The operation results showed only borderline concerns, and I didn't reach the cancer stage. Your loving intercession brought me peace and healing. What's even more miraculous is that the doctors had told me I had no chance of getting pregnant due to my condition. But God blessed me with a precious child, a gift from heaven. I'm deeply grateful. I'll always be thankful and cherish these blessings. Thank you, dear Mother Mary, for being my guiding light.

2. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for helping us with our daughter's education and visa approval. I am extremely humbled and grateful to the Lord for always giving us a helping hand at the dire moment. We know you are always taking care of us. We have witnessed many miracles throughout our lives, and sometimes I feel I don’t deserve the generosity of God’s love and assistance, especially after all the sins I have committed. I've been away from the Church & the Sacraments for very long because I felt hopeless, weak & a sinner who could not change his ways. My prayers to you at night to intercede & to Jesus for His mercy were imperfect & oftentimes rushed. Whenever I felt overwhelmed in life, I prayed to you & Jesus to help me find my way back, no matter what the costs before my last breath. Indeed, you heard me & interceded for me. Jesus forgave my sins through Extreme Unction & I survived a potentially near-death medical condition that required an emergency operation. I am now almost fully recovered from the operation & have renewed my journey with the Lord in full confidence of His love & His Mercy. Thank you for your loving prayers and tender care for me. After my heart blockage was discovered, following a car accident, you watched over me, and God granted a successful bypass surgery. We are deeply grateful that I am now healing and recovering well. We thank God, too, for preserving my life during the Hotel New World collapse in 1986, and for once again protecting me through this open-heart surgery. Your gentle and faithful intercession has carried our family through every danger and fear. Mother Mary, with all our hearts, we thank you for your constant help and for God’s abundant blessings upon my family and me always.

7. Dear Mother,

My friends and I are still in Sri Lanka as the cyclone and heavy rains ravage the country. I thank our Lord Jesus for His protection and the angels whom He sent to guide us into safety. We were in the mountains which are flooded. Our guide drove us to safety as the cyclone came down. He was driving at top speed, taking different routes as he tried to avoid areas with landslides, floods and fallen trees. Amidst everything, there was calm, and people who were ready to help at every point. Thank you, Mother and your Son Lord Jesus for keeping us safe. I continue to pray my rosary as we await our flight to Singapore.

thank you for your loving intercession for my friend who was seeking employment. Though she is Hindu, you hold a special place in her heart, and through your guidance she has now secured a permanent job. I am deeply grateful and overjoyed for her. We feel very blessed to be able to embark on this pilgrimage and all the pilgrims were so nice towards each other. I felt most emotional at Lanciano and at Rotondo. Shortly after I received an offer. This definitely is because of divine intercession. Thank you, Mother, for always praying for me and asking Jesus to help me.

I came to your shrine regularly and begged you for intercession to help me with my family issues, I sought for peace and love in my family, for no more fights between my children and my husband. Thanks to your intercession, I am recovering well now and the preliminary reports of the 6cm tumour is that it’s benign. I have come to treasure life and its challenges, whatever it may bring. I am very thankful to you for listening to my petition few months ago when I was newly baptised. My grandson, who was very bitter about his parents ' divorce, was reluctant to meet up with my son and myself. In addition, his character also changed drastically, he became very aggressive and love to use vulgar words when he was angry with someone. Just recently, not only his attitude towards us changed, he has finally agreed to meet us for an outing. We had an interesting and joyful meet up with him last week. Recently I wrote a petition requesting for God's protection and comfort as my husband underwent a slew of tests, scans, a MRI and a biopsy to determine if he had cancer. We placed everything in God's hands and trusted Him. We just found out this week that the results were positive. However, I thank God with all my heart that it has not spread, and it can be removed fully via surgery. I know that this is only possible through God's grace and love. We continue to trust God and pray that He will protect and heal my husband fully. We also pray that the surgery will go smoothly and be a success. We are thankful and remain faithful to the Lord for blessing us with our boy. We would also like to honour Mother Mary for her special intercession for us.  Praise be to God.

Thank You for hearing my prayers that all the remaining hostages in Gaza would be released. Please continue to intercede for Gaza so that it can be rebuilt and be governed properly, and there will be peace in the Middle East.

After a very long time I am writing to you this thanksgiving letter. 2 years ago, I lost my 25 years old daughter, who loved you and your Son Jesus very much. We were devastated by her death. However, with God’s mercy and grace, we’re coping with life again, believing that she is with your Son Jesus. Thank you for all your prayers, Mother dear. After her death, my family has become closer to one other. Thank you for this blessing too. You held us tight in the biggest and worst storm of our lives.

Thank you for your kind intercession to your Son. I was informed about 9 weeks back that my current job may be made redundant. I was troubled, confused and felt betrayed after being in this organisation for 21 years. I wrote to you seeking your intercession, and my petition letter was read out last week at the 10 am Novena devotion. Just this week, I got news from my HR that my role is still needed and intact, though it is downsized and reporting to a new superior. I am grateful and thankful for your kind help, Mother, and to Jesus.

5. Dear Lord,

This is a long overdue thanksgiving. 11 years ago, you cured my husband of cancer, when our kids were very young then, and we were shaken and broken. We persevered through his chemo treatment, and he got well. Looking back, we never truly realised that it was only through your grace that he recovered and is still with us today, to be there for our boys and me.  Help us to be truly thankful and be more loving and patient towards each other.

6. Dear Mother Mary,

I thank Jesus for guiding me and my husband and giving us good health during our Camino Walk and our ‘pilgrimage of hope’ in Vatican and Rome recently. May we always focus on our spiritual life and share the love of Jesus to others and always be humble.

7. Dear Mother Mary,

I come to you to thank you for your intercession, love and companionship throughout my journey in motherhood. When I miscarried my first child, I prayed for your intercession and God revealed to me to think about the heartbreak you went through when you lost your Son. At that point, I remembered saying to myself "Oh she's had it worse, but she still kept the faith." That was what kept me going. During my second miscarriage, Mother Mary you told me to "Listen to my Son." Each time I pray and ask for your intercession, you continuously told me that. Right up to Oct 15, the day of International Infant Loss Awareness Day - I found out I was pregnant. I couldn't believe it! It was like a miracle! I thank you Mama Mary for always pointing me to Jesus, and being a companion in my journey. Thank you for your endless love and support. I could never have done it without you. Thank you, Mama Mary. Please continue to intercede for my pregnancy this time.

8. Dear Mama Mary,

Thank you for answering our prayers. My father-in-law was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in May 2025. My husband, children and I started attending weekly Novena for his conversion His condition deteriorated as he stopped chemotherapy. It was too painful for him to tolerate. He was eventually admitted to Assisi Hospice. A few days later, he said he wished to receive baptism. He was baptised just before he slipped into a semi-conscious state later that same night. This was the Feast Day of St Carlo Acutis. He passed away peacefully on Mon 13 Oct - Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima. Thank your Mama Mary for interceding for us. God has moved mountains to make possible what seemed so impossible.

9. Dearest perpetual mother,

Thank you for taking care of me during this sudden silent illness where I had become so weak due to mental exhaustion. I felt death approaching me and was drawn into deeper depression then. I have slowly gained my strength and started to become stronger now with your grace and healing. I felt your son’s embrace, holding me and carry me through these very scary moments in the past few weeks. This would not have been possible without your prayers for me and with me, mother of mercy. Despite all my anxieties, you have taken me through my difficult moments with peace and remove fear of what’s to happen. Thank you for keeping my family together thru all.

1. Dear Mother,

I come to you in humble thanksgiving. My previous request for your intercession for my brother who was desperate for a job in IT has been granted. I am glad and grateful for your intercession dear Mother. I have also asked you to pray for my wife who went through surgery to remove her fibroid. The operation was successful, and she has recovered very well. Thank you once again.

2. Dear Mother Mary,

Forty years ago, it was you sweet mother who showed me to your Son Jesus Christ, first through the novena devotion then, to the RCIA programme. The number of blessings and graces I have received over the last 30 years are simply beyond words. I cannot thank you enough. The Catholic faith I received is completely free but not without responsibility. Please continue to intercede for me to carry out works of mercy faithfully. Thank you, dearest Mother.

3. Dearest Mother Mary,

I come to you to thank you for my prayers being answered. When my grandson was diagnosed with ADHD, I was worried for his future. During his primary education he was not doing well in his studies. As years passed, I did not give up praying for your intercession. Gradually in his secondary education he became better and has now received 3 awards in his studies. At present he is now in Polytechnic. I thank you for his progress. You have never failed to answer my prayers. Thank you,

4. Dear Mother Mary,

I am sorry it took me so long to write this thanksgiving letter. I prayed for my mother-in-law to be well after her cancer diagnosis. I want to thank you for your intercession after her successful surgery even though she is not catholic. She has since recovered from her surgery and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. She is doing well. I truly believe that all this is possible with your intercession to your son Jesus. Thank you so much Mother Mary,

Thank you for interceding for me as I got the job I prayed for. I wanted to once again thank you for interceding for me to your Son. Please continue to guide me that I will do well in this job.

I would like to thank you and Jesus and the doctors for a safe colonoscopy that I underwent two months ago. All went well and the results were good. A polyp was found, and the biopsy results were negative and not cancerous. I am truly grateful to Jesus and to you for your motherly care. With a grateful heart,

7. Blessed Mother,

Thank you for your intercession. My brother has returned to the church. I always sit in the reconciliation queue at Novena Church and stare at the fresco (painting) on the wall, wondering what the scene depicted. I was curious, but God would answer it in God’s time. A few months later, my brother posted a picture of that very fresco on Instagram. I asked him what it meant, and he said that you saw himself as the younger son who was welcomed back home, although he did not deserve it. Alas, my brother has returned to Christ. He was referring to the painting of the prodigal son. While I am thankful that you have brought my brother back to Christ, I also thank you for showing me God’s infinite mercy and grace through the story of the prodigal son. Thank you.

Countless times I have prayed for your intercession for my family problems and for friends who have asked me to pray for them and they have been answered. But each time I have failed to thank you and Jesus and have taken your love for granted. So, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you mother and Jesus for your kindness, love and understanding. Please continue to guide and protect my family and friends.
