Thanksgivings – 14 Apr 2018

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I would like to thank you for your love and intercession. Although I had reservations about joining the RCIA programme, I finally decided to give it a try. Through the RCIA, I learnt about you, Mother, and started to pray to you. I seek your intercession to know more about Jesus. The RCIA journey had its share of challenges; my dad was seriously ill in the hospital. I continued to pray the Hail Mary for comfort. When my dad passed away, the priest and my RCIA sponsors helped and supported me to cope with the loss. My faith journey has helped me to encounter the living Lord in people, situations and events. I have come to know Christ more and I am filled with joy and peace. Thank you Mother, for your prayers and intercession. Please continue to guide me.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I had a fall on 17th February on the way to Novena Church for the service. The x-ray showed no broken bones. I went to work for almost 1 month and was having pains on and off in my feet. I knelt down and prayed before you to help me to solve the pain issue. 1 week later I could not bear the pain and went to see doctor and the MRI showed there were 2 broken bones and I needed an operation immediately. The surgery was done successfully through your intercession. Dear Mother, I thank you for solving my pain issue and even though I had to go through the surgery, I am happy that I can attend the devotion on a wheelchair. Please continue to pray for my recovery.

  1. Dearest Loving Mother,

I am writing this Thank You letter to acknowledge your intercession in my life. Two years ago, I completed my job contract in the government service and was unable to find a suitable job due to my age. The situation was devastating and depressing as I had to take care of my family and two sons. I was going through personal turmoil as I was not able to support my family. These circumstances brought my family and me closer to you and our Lord Jesus. We sought your intercession and started attending the Saturday Novena and weekday Eucharist on a more regular basis with hope and faith.

By God’s grace and your intercession, I managed to get a suitable job and will start on 9 April. My eldest son managed to join a work therapy program despite his Autism. My second son also did well in his recent A Level Exams and managed a get into a university with a scholarship. Mother Mary, my whole family would like to thank you for your great love and for interceding in all our requests and keeping our family close and safe throughout these testing moments. We believe that you always care for us and help us in all our needs. Thank you for giving me the strength to carry on despite the difficulties and hardships I faced during the past few years. I am forever grateful to you.

Your Ever Loving and Faithful Son.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you so much for helping my daughter in her Advanced Master’s thesis. We are so happy when we came to know that she has passed after her thesis submission and the presentation. Dearest Mother, I know it was through your intercession that she was able to make it. A big “thank you” to you, Mother, and to our Lord Jesus for answering my prayers and petitions.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Last Wednesday, my husband celebrated his 65th birthday. He had gone through 3 cancer operations in the last 18 years. Each time he had to go through an operation, I always came to your shrine to ask for your intercession. You have always come to our help and all the 3 operations were successful and he did not have to go through chemotherapy which would have taken a major toll on him. Mother, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for always being with us in all our cries and for guiding and comforting us.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you very much for watching over me as I underwent my recent eye lasik surgery. After 2 medical follow-ups, my doctor has given me a positive review for both of my eyes. I know that you have been helping me to intercede with your Son, Jesus. Thank you once again for hearing my prayer.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I am writing to thank you for interceding for our son who successfully went through ground school with the Singapore Airlines as a cadet pilot. Please continue to help him through his next phase of training in Perth. Free him from any distraction, ward him against all evil and danger and bring him back to Church.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I would like to give a thanksgiving for saving my husband and son from a serious car accident last December. The car was hit by a trailer and it had fully tilted and the body of the car was destroyed but my husband and son were belted and were saved without even a scratch. Thank you Mother, for guarding them with your shield of protection.

Your Ever Grateful Child.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I did not get the new job that I was pursuing when I had done everything right to get it. I prayed to the Lord that since He did not think the new job was good for the family then please help me to secure a major project to stabilise my current job. With His Grace, I won a major project when I thought it was a lost cause! Now my current job is secured and it is better for the family. I would like to thank you once again for interceding and praying for us always. The Lord has always guided and protected us in all major decisions in our lives. Although some outcomes were not what we wanted we have always placed our trust in Him.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I am very grateful to you and Jesus for looking after me when I went for a major surgery last month. I know that I am recovering well from the surgery because of your intercession to your Son. My spirit was low when I was told of the surgery but you have been with me every step of the way. I prayed for my sins to be forgiven and I felt a sense of peace before the surgery, knowing that Jesus was there to calm my mind and body. Thank you Mother Mary for your everlasting love.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I have a non-catholic friend who was afraid to come to Novena for many many years. She really wanted to have a beautiful relationship with you, your Son and our Holy Father. Today was her first day in the Church for Novena. I realised that she was bowing her head respectfully at the Eucharist when the bells rang during the Benediction. I felt proud to have a friend like her. Before we left, she smiled sweetly at the picture of you behind the altar and said these 5 beautiful words: “I Love You, My Mother!” I humbly thank you for giving me such a sweet and caring friend.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

A wholehearted thank you for showering your healing grace and interceding for God’s Divine Mercy upon my brother. You have shown him and the family, God’s immense love and your Motherly care for all of us. My brother is out of ICU after 11 days and is showing signs of healing. Your Son, Jesus Christ, has embraced him with His Divine Mercy especially during his toughest days. This experience has revealed to us the tremendous healing power of God and the true meaning of the Divine Mercy prayer “Jesus, I trust in you!” Please continue to shower him with your healing grace.
