1. Dearest Mother Mary,
Thank you for the friends I have made. They have allowed me to stay strong in difficult times.
Your Daughter.
2. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,
Thank you for helping me have the courage to face my exams and my academic pursuits. Thank you for being there when I cried and broke down after my Mathematics paper and you helped me pick up and focus on the next task. Thank you for the best year in 13 years of my life.
Your Loving Son.
3. Dearest Mother,
Thank you for guiding me throughout this whole year. Thank you for blessing me with a great family, friends, teachers and other people and helping me during my difficult times and guiding me in my studies and faith.
Your Grateful Daughter.
4. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,
I am very thankful to your Son and you that I am able to witness the opening of Novena Church. In October 2014, when it was closed for renovation, I was not sure whether would I be able to see this new church as I am a person with a medical condition. I am just living day by day with God’s grace as I do not know when it may turn for the worse. Thank you Mother, for your intercession.
Your Most Grateful Catholic Daughter.
5. Dearest Mother Mary,
I want to thank you for your constant guidance and intercession over the past few years. Life has not been smooth-sailing for me. From coping with divorce, bringing up 2 young children single-handedly, to being out of job now, and looking for a tenant for my flat. My faith in you and our Lord Jesus Christ, has never wavered. I trust that you have your plans for me and indeed you have again and again answered my prayers, not always promptly, not always what I prayed for, but surely the best for me. Thank you so much.
Your Non-Catholic Daughter.
6. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,
Thank you for interceding for our family and praying for us in our time of great distress. My wife and elder daughter both developed cancer of their breasts. We prayed to you and asked to intercede to your Son, our Lord, and God. Now we are much relieved that both mother and daughter have undergone treatment and are recovering well.
Your Loving Son.
7. Dearest Mother,
More than half a century ago, I came to your shrine and sought your help to win the heart of a girl I loved. I was not a Catholic then but you interceded for me. This year, that non Catholic girl and I have been married for 50 years. We have since been baptised and have two sons and four grandchildren. In all those years, you have been helping us as we went through ups and downs in our journey of life. Through your intercession, our prayers have been answered, some miraculously, some immediately, some took a while and some took years. But they were always answered. As we continue our journey in the twilight years of our lives, we ask you to continue loving us and bringing our petitions to Jesus. Please help me and my family to remain faithful to God and to walk in His ways.
Your Grateful Son.
8. Dearest Mother Mary,
Tomorrow, my son completes his National Service. So very quickly 22 months have passed. I thank God and thank you my dearest Mother, for being with him, for looking after him and keeping him and his platoon mates safe. There had been occasional encounters with danger but we know that God watched over and protected them. I pray for your continued prayers and guiding hand as he now enters into the next chapter in his life. As he grows into adulthood and begins his term in the university next year, Mother, please keep watch over him, help him in his studies and most importantly that he does not stray from his faith.
Your Ever Loving Daughter.
