My mother-in-law, who is over 90 years, fell ill and had to be hospitalised. By the grace of God, she recovered and could come home safely. She was also spared from COVID-19 and dengue fever. My sister-in-law was ill as well and she has recovered. Thank you, Mother and our Lord Jesus Christ for the love and mercy shown to our family.
Your Loving Daughter.
2. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,
Thank you so much for your kind intercession for helping me to find job at a fast food restaurant. On 24th July, I went for an interview, and was very worried after the interview. Right after saying the rosary, I got a call from the manager saying that I got the job. This would not have been possible without your Son, Jesus, and your intercession. Thank you for the answered prayers.
Your Catholic Son.
3. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,
I’ve recently graduated with good results and have just received news that I have been nominated for an award and that my research might be published. Thank you for praying for me and seeing me through all my ups and downs. I pray for your continued intercession, and I hope that the award and publication will become a reality for me, especially after all the hard work I have put in.
Your Daughter.
4. Dearest Mother,
Four months ago, I wrote a petition to pray for my husband to have the determination to quit smoking. We quarrelled a lot due to this. Since late April, he has stopped finding excuses to go out by himself to smoke. He has been asking me or our children to go out with him now. I find it so incredible that a smoker of more than 20 years can do this. Without your help, Mother, and our Lord Jesus, he would not have been able to do it. Thank you, dear Mother.
Your Grateful Daughter.
5. Dear Mama Mary,
I am thankful that I was not laid off in the latest round of retrenchment. Although I am still heavily in debt, the banks have approved the restructuring of my debts, allowing me to service my loan without going bankrupt. Thank you, Mother Mary for watching over me and our family during this difficult time. Please continue to pray for us.
Your Catholic Daughter
6. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,
Over the past few months, I have been going through trying times. I was suffering from ill health and had trouble sleeping. A few weeks ago, I went to see the ENT specialist again as I had a blockage in my nasal passageway. The doctor did not say much and asked me to go for further scans. After the appointment, which was coincidentally at Mount Elizabeth Hospital Novena, I walked down to the foot of Novena Church and prayed for your intercession. When I went to see the specialist again a few days later, he said that I did not require any surgery and all the test results were fine. Immediately after that, I returned to the foot of Novena Church to thank you and your Son, Jesus. Thank You, Mother, for praying for me during these challenging times.
Your Loving Son.
7. Dearest Mother,
I want to thank you for interceding on my behalf to the Lord in so many desperate occasions throughout my life. I started praying for your intercession as a child, though I did not know what your title meant. I only discovered the novena devotion to Our Mother of Perpetual Help when I was an undergraduate. Up till now, after over 20 years of marriage, I still seek your intercession from time to time. You have been my Spiritual Mother all along, comforting me in my loneliness as a child and guiding me safely through my years of self-doubt and despair. This included the time after my graduation and when I just started working. Married life and having a family has not been a bed of roses as well, but Jesus and you were always there when I cried out to you for help to save me and my family. I can’t thank you enough. On my birthday, I want to re-dedicate my life and my family to you, and I resolve to emulate the Holy Family and to bring God’s peace and love to all.
