Thanksgiving – 30 Dec 2017

1. Dearest Mother,

As the year is coming to an end, my husband and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your Son, Jesus, for all the blessings we have received. A big thank you for looking after our only grandchild for 21 years of her life. She is so blessed as her birthday coincides with yours on 8 September. We pray for your continued care and guidance in this coming year 2018.

Your Loving and Grateful Children.

2. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for blessing me with a new job. I have been coming to the Novena Church since the day of the reopening and for these 9 weeks without fail. It was during the time when I had resigned and was searching for a new job. Through your intercession, I was blessed with the new job in the second week of December. Thank you for all the blessings that you have been showering upon me and all my family members.

Your Humble Son.

3. Dearest Loving Mother,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for blessing my daughter-in-law with a safe delivery and to give birth to a beautiful and healthy baby boy. She had to go through a long labour and during that time, I prayed and asked for your intercession to our Lord to bless her with a safe delivery and my prayer was answered. Please continue to pray and ask our Lord for His Grace and Blessings on my grandson.

Your Daughter.

4. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

My 12-year-old grandson was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour in early June this year. He underwent an eight hour operation to have the tumour removed. He was then given radiotherapy daily for thirty days at the Singapore Cancer Centre. His oncologist then recommended that he was to be given a six week break before starting his four cycles of chemotherapy. Some time during the 6 week period, my grandson experienced some pain in one of his hips whenever he walked. His oncologist extracted some bone marrow from his hip and it was sent for testing. Cancer cells were found to have made their way to his hip.
All my family members were devastated upon hearing the second piece of bad news. My faith and trust in you were shakened. I had prayed so fervently to you from the very beginning and yet why was this second nightmare happening? However, my supportive and prayerful friends and prayer group members encouraged me not to give up but to continue praying and to have faith in you. I then attended Mass every day and prayed for forgiveness for having doubted you. After my grandson’s second cycle of chemotherapy and when the MRI was done, it was discovered that his body and hip were free of cancer cells. Prayers can truly move mountains. Mother, dearest, please continue to journey with my grandson and continue to heal him as he undergoes his fourth cycle of chemotherapy in January 2018. Thank you dearest Mother, for everything that you have done.

Your Loving Daughter.

5. Dear Mother Mary,

On 18 December, my wife and I will celebrate 41 years of marriage. Thank you for interceding for us all these years. We are blessed with 3 wonderful grown up children, a very good son-in-law and an adorable granddaughter. Please continue to guide us especially in preparing spiritually for Christmas.

Your Catholic Son.

6. Dearest Mother,

As the year is coming to an end, I want to thank you for the many blessings you and your son have showered upon me and my family. I am thankful for the friends you have brought into my life from army days to university life. Thankful for the many graces and the support you have rendered me whenever I felt like giving up. Lastly, I am thankful for bringing me back to you and your Son after so many years of being away from you. Thank you Mother Mary.

Your Prodigal Son.

7. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

My sis-in-law, whom we have been praying for with regards to her Breast Cancer, has received wonderful news. A sincere and heartfelt thanks for helping us to pray to your Son, Jesus. She had a successful operation to remove the lump and doctors found that the tumour is Stage 1 and there is no need for further chemo treatment. We know that all good things come from God and we thank him for his merciful blessings.

Your Loving Children.

8. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for your prayers and intercession for my daughter. She received a full scholarship from MOH to study for her Masters in Clinical Psychology. And, she has been admitted to one of the best universities in Australia. The whole family is so happy that the Lord has blessed her with this opportunity. Thank you, Mother, and glory and praise be to God for ever and ever. Please continue to pray for her as we offer all her plans, desires and dreams to the Lord.

Your Grateful Children.

9. Dearest Mother Mary,

I came to your shrine on 11 December 2017 to appeal to you for a job. The same day, one of the property companies called me up for an interview on 15 December. I went for the interview, the manager seemed to be favourable to me but not the boss. I left with disappointment and was showered by the rain. I was wet and thus attracted many commuters looking at me in the train. I was very upset but to my surprise, the boss called me to start work on 20 December. Mother, I know you are the one who appealed to your Son to help and assist me. Once again, thank you Mother, for your kind assistance to me.

Your Humble Non Catholic Son.
