Thanksgiving – 8 June 2024

1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I thank the Lord for allowing me to take time away from my job to care for my mum and support her through her recent surgery. I am so grateful that I could be with her during this time. As I prepare to return to work, please help me as I settle back in and continue to keep me employed so that I can support myself.

Your Loving Daughter.

2. Dearest Mother,

Thank you very much for interceding to Jesus to secure a job for our son, which he will start in June. Please continue to pray for him in his new job.

Your Faithful Son & Daughter.

3. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for interceding for me. My surgery went well and I do not feel the pain of the excision. Mother, please continue to intercede for me that the lab results will be favourable.

Your Catholic Daughter.

4. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my mother through a successful heart surgery. It has been a gruelling month for us since she had a heart attack and required urgent surgery. Despite the anxiety, stress and tears, I knew you were watching over her and our family. I truly cannot thank you enough. Please let my faith in Jesus and you never waiver. Please continue to watch over my mum and our family.

Your Loving Daughter.

5. Dearest Mother Mary,

I was a drug addict and was sentenced to hang. I prayed to Mother Mary and Jesus Christ when I was in remand to give me a second chance in life. After 3 and a half years, I got to know that I was not going to get hanged but to be in prison for 10 years. After my sentence now, I am a changed man and I have been visiting the Novena Church to thank Mother Mary and Jesus Christ for this 2nd chance in life.

Your Grateful Son.

6. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

A few days ago, I wrote to ask you to intercede for two people. One is a close friend, a cancer survivor, who was hospitalised for dengue. The other is my son who had bad tummy pains from gastritis. I am very happy to say that both have recovered. Thank you, dear Mother, for never failing to hear my prayers. I thank Almighty God for His mercy and healing grace.

Your Grateful Daughter.

7. Dearest Mother,

I wrote a petition to you in February imploring your intercession for my husband, who needed a hip replacement. Thank you, dearest Mother, for guiding the medical team during the surgery and for the post-surgery care. My husband has now resumed his normal activities and is no longer in pain. Our thanks again, dearest Mother, for your intercession to your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Your Loving Daughter.

8. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for interceding for my mother. 6 years ago, she was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer. The tumour was removed and the cancer was contained. She has since fully recovered and is in remission. She recently contracted Covid for the first time, but has recovered. Thank you for always watching over her.

Your Faithful Daughter.

9. Dear Mother Mary of Perpetual Help,

About 3 weeks ago, I wrote a petition for a cousin who had been looking for a resale HDB flat desperately. But I was able to submit the petition letter as I left for my holidays. Upon arriving at my destination, I received news of my answered prayer! He texted me to say he found a suitable unit and has signed to exercise the option. How amazing! Thank you, Mother Mary. I want to share this testimony that when a petition is written, you take it to your Son, our Lord Jesus instantly. My heartfelt thanks and love again.

Your Faithful Catholic Daughter.

10. Dearest Mother Mary,

I want to say thank you for your intercession for my daughter. I really cannot imagine the joy of having her back. When she was young, she would always accompany me to Novena and even at 3 or 4 she knew when it was Benediction and she would bow her head and kneel…. Sadly, she was bullied and then mixed with the wrong group when she was 14. She started to stay out till morning and even ran away. Every weekend was a nightmare for us as we had to plough the streets in the middle of the night looking for her. We live in Sengkang so it was scary to note she was hanging around in someone’s house at 3am all the way in Jurong.. So many people even the closest relatives said, she could only be saved by sending her to a girl’s home, I turned to you as I couldn’t bear doing that. Little did they know, I saw a different side of her. As “naughty” as others would perceive her to be, in her social media posts, she was saying how she wished she could turn back the clock, how miserable she was and she posted how much she missed her life and the family closeness. As a mother, my biggest fear was she would do something so crazy as to kill herself. Every time she was almost lost, I prayed the rosary for her. She landed herself in big trouble with the law, and was due to be imprisoned. Yet, I continued to ask you to guide her. You interceded in our prayers and have sent angels to help her. I never stopped seeking your help. I left it in God’s hands…… Today at 18, she is back to school and most importantly learning to meet with any rejection head-on and not just walking away. No one can imagine after everything she has been through, she was able to get into the course she wanted and is still following her dream, which she had since a child. Thank you for giving her such wonderful teachers who understand and are helping her. I am so amazed that she is positive in attending school.

Your Ever-Thankful Daughter.
