Thanksgiving – 7 August 2021

1. Dear Mother,

Thank you so much for saving my parents from Covid-19. All because of your prayers, my parents recovered. Thank you for being with me in my toughest moment. You gave courage and answered my prayers.

Your Grateful Child.

2. Dearest Mother Mary,

My dad has passed on a year ago. It has not been an easy year for the family and we really miss him. Last year, I was informed by the hospital to bring him in for a seemingly treatable minor procedure. Unfortunately, he acquired a chest infection within 2 days which resulted him collapsing 3 times and had been in and out of ICU in a month before his passing. Till today, I will still tear whenever I look at the old photos and videos of him. My mum tries to put on a brave front but we know that she really misses her lifelong companion. I have only one younger brother and through this, we have become closer. Despite all the pains and longing we have to endure, we would like to thank our beloved Mother, for constantly interceding for us and being there especially for my dad during his final days.

Your Son.

3. Dearest Mother Mary,

I like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for hearing and granting my petition after many obstacles and a long wait in these difficult times and circumstances. I finally received a job offer in Japan subject to visa approval, starting this September. I pray for a smooth transition and a successful start in my new job.

Your Unworthy Son.

4. Mother Mary,

I am a father with 2 young kids. My youngest son is about 2 years old and we were worried about his speech capability and growth progress when he was 18 months old. Apart from the regular checks with the doctor, I attended the Novena Devotion and prayed for his growth improvement and reminded myself and asked for God’s grace so that I could surrender everything to Him. And you heard my prayers, my son is now able to start talking and is improving. Dearest Mother, thank you for being by my side through the difficult moment.

Your Grateful Son.

5. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your prayers for my newborn son. Although the journey had been difficult ever since we found out he was diagnosed with certain a brain condition. We know we would not have been able to carry on without your prayers.

Your Eternally Grateful Son.

6. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing my granddaughter home from UK. She completed her 14 days quarantine and it came to us as a great surprise that the quarantine was reduced from 21 days to 14 days. Everything went on smoothly all the way from UK to Singapore though she had to jump across several hurdles. All these were possible because you were with her throughout the whole journey. No amount of words can express my thankfulness and gratitude. Thank you dearest Mother.

Your Ever-Grateful Catholic Daughter.

8. Dearest Mother Mary,

I was very unhappy and dejected after a break up last year. I wondered if anyone would ever love me again. I turned to you, Mother, and your prayers have healed me. It has taken me a while but thank you for everything for hearing my prayers and delivering me a wonderful, kind soul that I truly believe you saved for me. He makes me feel happy and loved every single day. Please continue to guide us in our love and strengthen our love for each other. Thank you, dearest Mother, for always holding me close to your heart and never letting me down. I am forever thankful for your strong and constant presence in my life.

9. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for your intercession in reconciling my mother’s relationship with my aunty and uncle. My mother was deeply saddened when my aunty and uncle abruptly cut off contact with her over a small matter. My mother has a kind and soft heart. She has been attending online Masses and praying the rosary daily especially since the pandemic. 4 months ago, I started praying for my aunty and uncle’s family to experience God’s love to have a change of heart and mind. My aunty has recently contacted my mother again and they have been in contact ever since. Thank you for making my mother happy again and for bringing harmony and peace to our family.

Your Grateful Daughter.
