Thanksgiving – 5 February 2022

1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for answering my prayers. I was tested positive for Covid and you protected my family from getting infected. My niece is able to successfully go to America for her exchange program.

Your Grateful Daughter.

2. Dearest Mother,

I write this letter with a grateful heart as you have answered my prayers. My grandson has passed his PSLE and entered the Secondary School of his choice.

Your Catholic Daughter.

3. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for giving me kind and loving friends who are there for me. Thank you, my loving Mother, for healing me and praying for me. I believe that I am free from stress, anxiety, depression and I won’t faint anymore. Please pray for me that I have the confidence and strength to go out on my own. Thank you, Jesus, for giving me Mother Mary who is so kind to pray for me and my family.

Your Grateful Child.

4. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for a wonderful Christmas present and for answering out prayers as our daughter-in-law got her PR approved today. Thank you so much, Mother.

Your Loving Child.

5. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for your intercession to Jesus. He guided my family on the journey of acceptance after my mum’s passing, by providing us with comfort and peace, and for the many, many people who reached out to our family to give us their support.

Your Grateful Daughter.

6. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for praying for us this week. Things are going according to God’s plans. We are safe from Covid and there is food on the table. Thank you, Mother and our Father, for granting the petitions lifted to you.

Your Ever-Grateful Son.

7. Dearest Mother Mary,

I prayed for your intercession to God to bless and protect my good friend’s father to have a good biopsy result. He is declared free from cancer. Thank you, Mother Mary for your prayers, blessing and protection.

Your Loving Daughter.

8. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I wrote a petition to you a month ago seeking for your intercession in granting me a job after being retrenched. Thank you for watching over me, I managed to secure a promising offer and I hope you would continue to grant me wisdom and strength in my new scope of work. 2021 has not been easy for me, my mental health took a hit with the loss of a long-term relationship and the retrenchment. However, I am still so grateful for my family and friends who are constantly by me. Thank you, Mother.

Your Loving Daughter.

9. Dearest Mother Mary,

My wife and I will be celebrating our 47 years of wedded life. On this occasion, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to you. Dearest Mother, for all the blessings you bestowed on both of us for those many years together as well as giving us two wonderful daughters and four grandchildren. We would not be celebrating this happy occasion if not for your powerful intercession to Jesus, your Son. Mother Mary, please pray and intercede for us for the continued blessings and give us strength in finding joy and companionship. Please continue to bless our family members and enfold us with your love and bless each one of us with gifts of peace and joy.

Your Loving Children.

10. Dearest Mother,

We wrote a petition to seek your intercession with your beloved Son, Lord Jesus, for our eldest grandson to break free from his addiction to computer games. Then, our prayers were not answered. He continued to be obsessed with computer games and did not attend classes regularly for the past few years. We knew you would not leave our prayers unanswered. My wife and I did not give up hope but continued to pray earnestly for him and also attended the Novena sessions every Saturday. Mother Mary, you heard our prayers by sending one of his gaming friends to persuade and encourage him to return to school and to at least attain a school leaving certificate. This friend was also willing to coach him extensively on the subjects he was taking so that he could catch up on those years of study that he missed out. Also, you have touched his school principal to allow him to remain in school and to take his “N” Levels, despite not attending classes regularly. You have also touched his teachers and counsellors to show him empathy, understanding, patience and encouragement. It was a miracle that he passed all his subjects and is eligible for Secondary 5 and Higher NITEC courses at ITE. He chose the ITE path. We are grateful to you, dear Mother, for helping him obtain at least a full “N” Level certificate and to obtain a deferment from National Service to enable him to complete his studies at ITE. As his grandparents, we wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our Lord Jesus through your powerful intercession for all the blessings and favours granted to our grandson.

Your Grateful Children.

11. Dearest Mother Mary,

This letter is long overdue. Thank you for the many blessings you have showered upon my family and me. Most importantly, thank you for granting full healing to my mum and dad, having recovered from Covid especially my father who was hospitalised for about 2 weeks. The 2 weeks in the hospital was a great distress for him and the family. With fervent prayers from family and friends, he was finally discharged and returned home safely. Today, he is recovered. I ask for your continued blessings to take care of my parents who are in their old age. Once again, Mother Mary, thank you for always being with my family and me. Thank you for your continued blessings and love.

Your Grateful Daughter.

12. Dearest Mother Mary,

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you and to our Lord Jesus for your intercession and for protecting my loved ones from the recent super typhoon in Philippines. Everyone is safe and our house only had minor damage. Thank you that I still have my job so I can support them in their basic needs at this difficult time in our life. My heart goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones and families who have lost their homes. May we find courage in facing the trials that come our way in life. May you restore our hope that everything shall improve. May you strengthen our faith and trust in you.

Your Daughter.

13. Dearest Mother,

I have written to you many times over the past 25 years for my son. I prayed to you for a child after a miscarriage and a difficult period in conceiving and you blessed me with my first child. In his first 10 years of studies, he struggled badly because of some learning disabilities. It was especially tough in his primary school when he had to receive therapies and there was little support. Mother, you answered my prayers and interceded for him every time I turned to you for help. Over the years, my son found ways to cope with his learning disabilities and was able to do better and better in school. He prayed hard and studied hard. To everyone’s amazement, this boy who did badly in primary school went on to get straight As for his “O” Levels and “A” Levels, and was rewarded with scholarships in JC and university. In the past months, he encountered difficulties again and our family turned to you, praying the rosary together as often as we could. Yesterday, he got his final year results from NUS and his academic journey finally ended with a first class honours. What is more rewarding is truly his faith in God all these years. His academic achievements are possible only because you have been guiding him in every aspect of his life, bringing him to a good secondary school and blessed him with understanding and dedicated tutors who could accept his shortcomings and helped him through the difficult years. Thank you, my dearest Mother. You are truly a Mother of Perpetual Help for you have been helping us without fail. Words can never describe my gratitude to you.

Your Loving Daughter.

14. Dearest Mother,

I am extremely grateful for 2021 for it is possibly one of the best years in my life. I was baptised and confirmed and I received Holy Communion for the first time in my life. My spiritual life grew and I also came to realise how precious and vulnerable my spirituality can be. Thanks be to God, I am constantly surrounded by people and messages, reminding me that I am loved by God. This year, I became a homeowner. I did not expect to be one but I am now sitting in a beautiful and cosy home filled with people, cats, and things I love. I am reminded every day of God’s grace to me. For all the things I have done in the past, I am hardly deserving of what I have today. I will treasure this. I also earned a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and I have been practising. A couple of years ago, I had the intention of being a counsellor. It became a calling and now I am doing it. Again, I am abundantly blessed for I could not have done it without your help. I am also grateful for my partner. For the past 10 years, we have been together through ups and downs. And here we are living life together despite the odds that were stacked against us. I am grateful for the acceptance from my family and friends. Mother Mary, you have introduced me to God and pulled me closer to Him. I thank God for you.

Your Catholic Son.

15. Dearest Mother,

I am so thankful that my petition is answered through your intercession and was granted by your Son, Jesus. My brother whose money was scammed, has it all back. The bank just called him to inform that his money has been credited back into his account. Thanks to the bank and the police efforts, too, but I still feel this is still nothing short of a miracle. I am in awe and with a grateful heart I thank you for your powerful intercession and most of all for your Motherly love for us all.

Your Daughter.
