Thanksgiving – 5 August 2023

1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

About two weeks ago my wife who has some dementia was alone at home, as I had to go to buy lunch for the both of us. On my return I was shocked to find an ambulance in front of my house. On reaching, I realised that my wife who was wandering at the back of my house had fallen, bruised one of her eyes and she could not get up. It was the foreign workers who were working at the back of my house on a project noticed her on the ground and called the ambulance. My family and I are deeply grateful to them. And we thank you Mother, and your Son, Jesus, that nothing serious happened to my wife after all the scans and medical observation done at the hospital.

Your Most Grateful Son.

2. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for your constant intercession to Jesus for my son. He is finally able to amicably settle with the ex-wife without a long court battle. This is only possible because of your loving and continuous blessings. Please continue to look with pity and mercy on my son and his children as they adapt to the new challenges in life. Keep them in your thoughts and care.

Your Grateful Daughter.

3. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

For the past months, I have sought your intercession for my son, who was sadly diagnosed with leukaemia. After sessions of chemo and numerous tests, we are very thankful that his bone marrow test came back negative for leukaemia cells, although he still needs to continue chemo for two years, to ensure the cancer cells are completely gone. Thank you, Jesus and Mother Mary, for walking with him throughout this very difficult, fearful and painful journey, and giving him strength every day. He is only two and a half years old, and we continue to ask for full recovery and good health as he grows into a fine man in years to come.

Your Grateful Daughter.

4. Dearest Mother,

I would like thank you from the bottom of my heart for protecting my husband and I from harm during our recent trip in June to Switzerland and Paris. The temperature was very low as we were up in the mountains, the Glacier. My husband had shortness of breath on the mountain top but fortunately everything was fine in the end. On the second day of our trip in Paris, I fell in the bathroom during my shower at night. I hit my head against the glass door and landed on the panel with a loud thud. Luckily, the X-ray showed that I had no fractures. I was fine and could return to work. If not for your timely assistance, I cannot imagine what could have happened to me. Thank you very much Dearest Mother for always protecting my husband and me from harm.

Your Loving Daughter.

5. Dear Mother Mary,

How can I thank you enough for always being there for me and my family through our times of sorrow and joy. I thank you for helping my husband to fully recover from his alcohol addiction and surviving a heart attack. Also thank you that my daughter had an encounter with the Lord that changed her life around. Truly nothing is impossible with God, through your intercession.

Your Grateful Daughter.

6. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Four weeks ago, I wrote to you for help for a safe and smooth surgery for my daughter. The surgery to remove her womb was successful and she was able to move about on the third day without feeling much pain. I know Mother that without your intercession, her speedy recovery would not be possible.  Thank you, Mother Mary, and your Son, Jesus.

Your Loving Son.

7. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for answering our prayers for my daughter to get into my wife’s alma mater primary school without a ballot as we don’t stay near the school. It was something we talked about before marriage, and I was very stressed during the years leading up to the registration. We never taught it possible, so we asked for your intercession and our prayers were answered. Thank you once again and to Jesus.

Your Loving Son.

8. Dearest Mother Mary,

This letter is long overdue. Two years ago, during the covid pandemic, I was out of a job due to the release of workers as production was low. I had to look after my mother, wife and young daughter financially. I wrote a petition to you dear Mother, asking for your intercession. It took only three weeks later when a friend called me and offered me a reasonably good job with full pay and benefits. I was so moved that thanking you had slipped my mind. After attending the novena three weeks ago, I remembered that I have taken your kindness for granted and failed to thank you and Jesus. So, I decided to thank you mother for your intercession, and you are indeed a loving Mother.

Your Grateful Son.
