Thanksgiving – 4 Apr 2020

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I want to thank you for answering my prayers. My business was going downhill for the last few years. My earnings dropped so much that I had been depleting my savings to pay for my family’s expenses. Eventually, I was in a dire situation where I could no longer support my family. All this while, I prayed for your intercession and I know that no matter how bleak it seems, I should never lose hope because you will not leave us “unaided”. This month, out of the very unexpected circumstances, there was a turn of events and business has returned. I can finally heave a sigh of relief. I know this happened because you came to my help. Thank you so much for helping us Mother, we are forever grateful.

  1. Dear Mother,

In this difficult time of Covid-19, thank you for watching over us and praying for us and with us. Thank you for the Redemptorists for continuing to provide online Novena Services even though I miss the physical presence of being in the Church. I pray that your Son will provide a cure for humanity and we can come back to Church soon.

Your Unworthy Catholic Son.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

2 months ago, I received news that one of my secondary school friends was in a coma due to an aneurism at the very young age of 37. I offered Masses and novena prayers and petitions for her to you for weeks. I also kept her in my rosary prayers. Today, I received news that she woke up from coma and is undergoing therapy. Thank you for your intercession, I know that it is through you that Jesus heard my prayers. Thank you so much Mother Mary.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for interceding for me to prevent me from further sin. I was in a relationship with a married man for 5 months while I was in my RCIA journey. I could not face the Lord when I was in Church. To counter my guilt, I even reasoned that I was not the 3rd party. Recently, his wife found out and wanted us to stop contacting each other. He did not know what to do and was confused. He could not do anything to help me when I felt that I was totally being abandoned. I took the courage to tell him to stop contacting me. It was hard and I am still coping as we work in the same office. I want to thank God for allowing the wife to find out and we finally put to a stop to everything. Had it been longer, I could fall into depression, lose my job and my reputation would be tarnished.

  1. Dear Mother,

I thank you on behalf of my non-Catholic friend who had problems with her relationship and had issues with her parents not accepting the relationship due to the age difference. I brought her petition to your shrine and after that they were reconciled and wrote a letter of thanksgiving and praying that her parents would be able to accept the relationship. True enough, the parents finally agreed and this was made possible through your intercession. Thank you once again.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you so much for my husband’s successful open-heart surgery. Now, the family can have peaceful nights.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I was shattered when I found out that I was about to lose my home through an en-bloc sale. I had voted ‘No’ as I love my old apartment which is a stone’s throw away from my Church. No doubt the compensation was good but where am I going to live? I admit to being fussy, I searched and visited many sites and came to the only one possibility even though the unit was smaller than I had hoped for. I continued to pray for the right home. Just as I thought that was it, I reluctantly agreed to visit another site with an unexpected party. As soon as I saw it, I knew in my heart that this is the one. Every criteria was met, even a Church at my doorstep! God is generous. I thank you, Mother Mary, for your prayers and intercession. I have also learned to trust in God’s plan which is indeed mysterious.

Your Happy Catholic Child.

  1. Dear Mother,

I would like to thank you for guiding and helping my husband during his job interview two weeks ago. He is preparing for his second interview. Thank you for your guidance and strength you gave to all the leaders and frontline workers here in Singapore and in the world to fight Covid-19. Thank you for all the blessings you have given to us.

Your Loving Daughter.
