Thanksgiving – 3 Aug 2019

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer in June this year and without much delay, I went for an operation to have the lump removed. After the removal, the result became stage 2 due to the size of the lump. It was bigger than what was shown in the scan. I was very worried and a lot of negative thoughts came to my mind. I was advised by my surgeon to have the lump sent for another test to determine how aggressive and what kind of treatment I would be needed. For weeks, I never stopped praying and asked you to intercede for me. Indeed my prayers are answered. The result came back that the tumour is mild and I do not need to go for chemotherapy. I am so grateful to you during this difficult period and I thank our Lord Jesus who has shown His mercy on me.

Your Ever-Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I thank you for loving me all my life and for watching over me through all the pain and difficulties in my life. You always drew me back to Jesus, my Lord and Saviour. I wrote a petition to you in April to ask for your intercession for my surgery which lasted 10 hours. God’s hand was upon every aspect of the surgery. On the morning of the surgery, I was fearful but you calmed my nerves when I called upon you. I felt your presence and you assured me that Jesus and you were just by my side. During the surgery, there were a few minutes when my Blood Pressure went over 300 due to the doctor’s misjudgement, but they managed to recover the situation. I know that God was in control and I had a speedy recovery. I want to thank you that this episode has started and brought reconciliation within my family. Since the diagnosis of the malignant tumour in March, the Lord has been with us even through difficult moments. I know this is only possible through your loving and powerful intercession to the Mercy and Love of God.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I just finished my 20-week comprehensive scan for my baby. We were so worried about the health of our child, as we chose not to do any screening before this. Thank you so much for answering our prayers – we are going to have a healthy baby boy. Words cannot express my love and gratitude to you and our Lord Jesus. I pray that my husband and I will live worthily and in faith so that we may glorify God for all the blessings He has given us.

Your Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

There is so much that I would like to thank you for but most of all I would like to thank you for always interceding for my family and me. Throughout these 8 years of infertility, I have been questioning God and asking for a clear sign as to what we should do and if my husband and I should consider adopting a child. Thank you for interceding for us. The Lord has finally given us a clear sign through a series of events. I am truly grateful.

Your Loving Children.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

More than 5 years ago, I met 3 people whom I never thought would shape me into the person that I am now. They have become sisters to me and we are still very close even though none of us live in the same country. This week, 4 of us will be meeting up with one another and I cannot thank you enough for blessing me with such good friends. They mean so much to me and I miss them more and more each day. Thank you for bringing them into my life.

Your Grateful Child.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Many incidents have happened to me and my family and you and your Son, Jesus, have always been there, walking, strengthening and lifting us up in times of our difficulties. You brought wonderful people into our lives when we needed help and you helped my son to overcome a few incidents he had with the law due to his drinking, which is truly a miracle. He had a very bad motorbike accident 25 years ago and the bike was beyond repair, his helmet came off and his head was just few inches away from the kerb. Though he needed stitches on his head and bruises on his face and mouth, everything was fine with him. I received the call past midnight from the police and I panicked. Then, calmness filled me as I heard Jesus telling me “Do not be afraid”. Words cannot express my heartfelt gratitude. As I looked back on my life way back to the day I got married 45 years ago, both you and your Son were always there guiding, watching over my marriage, my family and our problems. You provided us with our daily needs. I am forever grateful to you and your Son, Jesus, for all that we have today.

Your Loving Daughter.
