Thanksgiving – 29 April 2023

1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I am so grateful to Jesus for the baptism of my son to be God’s child this Easter at the Church of Precious Blood – in London. This has always been my wish to have him as Catholic after so many years of praying. His sudden wish to be baptised is an extraordinary event for him and me. He told me, “Mum I cherish this ever presence of Jesus now, always and forever.”

Your Loving Daughter.

2. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank You for all You have done for me. No matter how many times I strayed from the Lord and turned to sin, you always carried me in prayer and brought me closer to God. Thank You for reminding me of the Lord’s love, and praying for me when I least deserve it. Please continue to pray for me Mother, that I may live a life pleasing to the Lord.  Thank You Mother.

Love, Your Daughter.

3. Dearest Mother,

I am writing this letter to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my daughter get the best grade for her exam. This time, I didn’t pray as much as for the previous exams. It is amazing how one Our Father, one Hail Mary and one Glory Be can work miracles. Please continue to intercede for us Mother. There is so much prayer that we need from You every day. Help us to continue to have faith and trust in Your Risen Son. Thank you, Mother.

Your Ever-Grateful Daughter.

4. Praise God and our beautiful Mother Mary.

Exactly a year ago, my father and I had to undergo a liver transplant surgery. I donated 70% of my liver to my dad who at that time had liver cirrhosis and was very serious. It was perhaps the toughest thing I had to go through. I remember when I woke up, I felt so tired I could barely keep my eyes open. I remember how I struggled to sleep at night but I also remember I brought a portrait of you Blessed Mother and I placed you close to me. And the very next moment I fell into a deep sleep. In just few short months, through your intercession, my liver grew back to its normal size. My father is also doing exceedingly well, and he is full of life again. I thank God for the opportunity and honour of helping me and my dad. I especially want to thank you dear Mother for being with me throughout this journey.

Your Loving Son.

5. Dear Mother,

Thank you for your unwavering love, care and support. I am writing this letter to express my deep gratitude for your love, guidance and protection. Thank you for letting my children unite with us in Singapore. Mother, thanks for answering all my prayers in the past and we humbly request you to continue to bless us.

Your Loving Children.

6. Dear Mother,

Thank you for your intercession and the blessing on my family for all these years. It’s a long thanksgiving letter. In 2021, my daughter, after eight years of marriage, conceived. In her sixth month of pregnancy, the doctor found multiple fibroids in her womb. As the baby in the womb was growing, the fibroids too were getting bigger day by day and it started pressing the baby in the womb. With confidence, we came to Novena Church to seek your intercession and prayed for my daughter’s health condition in our daily rosary devotion. By God’s mercy and compassion in March 2021 she had a caesarean done and was gifted with a healthy baby boy. During the procedure, the doctor removed one of the fibroids which was almost four inches in size and did not find any other growth. It was indeed a miracle. After one year, she became pregnant again for a second child. In December 2022, we were again gifted with a baby boy through caesarean. After one month, she started developing frequent pains in her abdomen. Upon scanning, the surgeon found a fast-growing tumour outside her womb and suggested that she go for the surgery as soon as possible. Last week after five hours of surgery, a big lump of tumour was removed and was sent for further tests. The surgeon suspected the tumour could be malignant. We were so worried about my daughter’s health and her motherly care for new born baby. When the final results came back there was no malignant growth. It was a great relief for us. Now she is recovering her health. With confidence we say “Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.” Thank you, Lord Jesus for answering all petitions through Mother Mary.

Your Loving Son and Daughter.
