Thanksgiving 26 Jan 2019

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I wrote a petition to you a few days ago asking you to pray for my “O” Level results. Today, I am writing a thanksgiving letter to thank you for the miracle you have worked in my life. Thank you so much for allowing me to get a good score and for answering my prayers. Thank you for being with me throughout the period when I took my “O” Levels and for helping me to cope with family matters in the midst. I would definitely not be able to accomplish what I have achieved if not for your constant guidance and intercession.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I thank you for all the blessings that you have bestowed upon us. Last week, I asked for your intercession to help us find a place to stay while we will be having our house renovated. A few hours later, we received confirmation for the house we would love to live in temporarily. You granted our request the following day and the owner accepted our offer. Today, we received further good news that my youngest brother was accepted into one of the top universities in the Philippines. Thank you for your constant prayers.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I have not been feeling happy in my workplace and also having family issues lately. I pray for peace every day and this week has been a really good week. I felt at ease and my heart and shoulders do not seem so weighed down. Thank you, Mother, for granting me this peace.

Your Ever-Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

It will be 4 years since my 24 year-old son left us to return home to the Lord. People often say time will heal so I thought it would get easier but grief is truly a roller coaster ride that spins your heart and mind topsy-turvy. As I struggle with my grief and pain, I am grateful for the gifts that God has given me. As I look back over the past years, I am grateful for the little bundle of joy God has given me in my newly born grand-daughter, for my youngest child who turned 21 and my son who through the grace of God managed to get into a local university to study medicine and another son who got engaged. Thank you for my parents who turned 80 and are still mobile. Thank you for your continued intercession, dearest Mother.

  1. Dearest Mother,

It’s been a year since my last job. I am worried and trying hard to keep the faith while waiting for my prayers to be answered. Today, it suddenly occurred to me that God knows what I wanted and He gave me what I needed the most. During the past months, I had time to rest and recharge and with the grace of God, I am able to check off a few items on my bucket list that I have been putting off for years and to finally achieve one of the goals that was set years ago. Thank you, Mother, for making me realised how fortunate I am.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Words cannot express my gratitude to you. My daughter-in-law was laid off last January, she went for so many interviews but was unsuccessful. To make things worse, my son, her husband was also laid off work in October. The whole family was shocked and heading towards a bleak Christmas. I came to the Novena in October to plead for your intercession. Through your intercession, my son got a job in December and my daughter-in-law got a job offer yesterday. We are truly blessed as we head towards the Chinese New Year. Thank you, dear Mother Mary.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I have been attending Novena Devotions on and off for the past 30 years but have written very few petitions and letters of thanksgiving. Few petitions because through your intercession and protection, God has fulfilled my every wish and given me all that I needed. Very few letters of thanksgiving because I seem to have taken things for granted as I thought by living and sharing my blessings, was a way of giving thanks. To write everything I need to be thankful for would probably be 1000 pages long. So this time, I’ll just be thanking you for interceding and letting my dad recover from 3 major health related issues and with your love and protection, I am certain that he will continue to get better and have many more good years ahead.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

You have always showered me with your love and protection, interceding for me in many ways and I am ever thankful for your motherly love. I felt that I needed to write this thanksgiving letter to praise and thank you for always being there. Just before Christmas, something happened that really turn my life upside down. I lost my wallet and it might not be a big thing to some but I felt really down as there were a lot of things in it that are dear to me. I searched everywhere and could not find it and after a week I just had to resort to the reality that I probably will never find it. It propelled me to be more thankful for all the things that God has blessed me in my life and to learn to let go and focus on the truly important things. I shared my experience one Saturday with church goers and was greatly touched by their care and concern, and more than that the faith that they showed ensuring that they will pray and surely the wallet will be found.

Truly, through all the prayers, God granted a miracle and my wallet appeared just outside my office 2 days later. I can only say a big THANK YOU to you for your intercession. For truly I trust that God and you, my loving Mother, are always looking after and caring for us, your children. Thank you

Your Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for another year of blessings you have given me. Today, I turn 21 and my first ever birthday away from my loved ones. At the age of 20, I started to pursue my dreams by coming to Singapore to work. It was hard but I believed and trusted the Lord that I’d really have a job. Indeed, I found a job and I believe it is God who answered my prayer. At the age of 20, I started living alone, but I know that God is always by my side, He gave me a landlord who is a very kind and generous person. He gave me nice colleagues who cheer me up and never belittle me whenever I do something wrong. He gave me an understanding boss. Thank you so much for everything.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I would like to thank you for all the wonderful things you have done for me for the past years. I have been attending the Novena without fail from young till now as I am a senior citizen. I also want to show my gratitude that you Mother Mary, have been protecting me from harm without me knowing. I am still working in spite of my senior age. Recently, I nearly got into serious trouble which involved my career. A slight mistake could have led me into big trouble. You came to my aid, protected, and alerted me from harm. I was saved and blessed that you and your Son, Jesus, love me and never forsake me.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I experienced a miscarriage in August 2018. It was the second trimester loss which was unexpected and very painful since it was my first pregnancy. I was in great pain and every day I felt like I was in darkness. I prayed for you to show me the light and to accept this pain willingly. A few days ago, I found out I am pregnant again. I am so thankful for your constant blessings upon me. I pray for your constant blessings upon me. Please intercede for me that I will have a smooth pregnancy with no complications and would be able to carry a healthy child safely into this world. Thank you for always watching over me and guiding me. You have never let me falter ever since I started attending the Novena as a kid. Thank you, Mother, for everything you have blessed me with.
