Thanksgiving – 25 January 2025

1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Words cannot describe how thankful I am to you and your Son, Jesus. Eight months ago, I was diagnosed with third stage breast cancer. I was in total shock when I went for a routine medical check-up. I approached your shrine after a novena session and pleaded for your intercession. After chemo over a period of time, I went for a required checkup with my doctor. It was a total surprise when I was told that the cancer cells had almost disappeared, although I still have to go back for treatment from time to time. I am most grateful to you, Mother and to your Son, Jesus.

Your Most Grateful Daughter.

2. Dear Mother Mary,

My friend who has been in dialysis since last year is improving now. She is gaining back some of her strength and can work again. Thank you for interceding for her healing. Please continue to intercede so that she may fully recover from her illness. Thank you, again.

 Your Grateful Son.

3. Dear Mother Mary,

Last year I wrote a petition to you asking for help to secure a job. I had been jobless for some time. Last December I applied for a job and went for two interviews. I thought that I would not get it. But after New Year’s Day I got an email to say that I got the job. It was only through your intercession that I secured the job. Thank you for all the times that you have helped me.

Your Loving Son.

4. Dearest Mother Mary,

My daughter’s marriage was on the rocks some weeks ago and reconciliation seemed hopeless. I sought your intercession to save the marriage. Day after day, I prayed and finally a couple of days before Christmas, a miracle happened. They are now trying to reconcile, which is unbelievable. It is not going to be an easy task, but through your intercession I know the marriage will be saved. Mother Mary, thank you very much for your intercession to Jesus.

Your Grateful Daughter.

5. Dearest Mother Mary,

I want to thank Jesus from the bottom of my heart for the many blessings showered upon me and my family. My two children are married and have wonderful spouses and good jobs. In the earlier years we went through some difficult times, especially financially. My strong faith and belief in you and your Son that everything will turn out for the better has been rewarded. Now I can age gracefully knowing that you, Mother Mary, will always be at our side watching over us. I am grateful and so blessed to have the most wonderful Mother.

Your Loving Daughter.

6. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I was jobless for more than 6 months, although I applied for jobs as a qualified interior decorator. I was even willing to accept a salary lower than what was the market rate for my qualifications. A Catholic friend advised me to pray to you at Novena Church and ask for your intercession, which I did, and I got a job as an interior decorator in November last year. Thank you so much.

Your Non-Catholic Son.

7. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for always hearing my prayers and for being there for me in times of need. From my childhood to my adulthood, you have been there, even at times when I thought that my prayers were not heard. But on hindsight, I realised that some of my prayers were self-centred thinking only of myself and not others, but through all that I know that I am blessed. Thank you for all your intercession.

Your Grateful Child.

8. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

2024 was a very challenging year for me and my family. My husband who has lupus, suffered a severe bacterial infection that spread throughout his body, and we almost lost him. During this time of immense difficulty, you gave me strength and helped me hold on to my faith in you. I am truly grateful for your guidance and support during these trials. Please continue to pray for us and keep us under your loving care as we move forward into 2025.

Your Loving Non-Catholic Daughter.
