Thanksgiving – 24 Feb 2018

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Not too long ago, I went through a very traumatic time at my workplace due to a restructing in the company and a retrenchment exercise that was carried out. I was not in the batch of staff that was retrenched. However, soon after the retrenchment exercise was conducted, the management informed me that I would be terminated and would not receive any retrenchment benefits. I was very worried as I had to support my elderly parents including an elderly aunt financially. Of one the three elderly folks that I am supporting, one is suffering from advanced stage of Parkinson’s disease and the others have early stages of dementia. I have to pay for their medical and hospitalization expenses as well. Each day as I went to work, I was feeling anguished and stressed. It was also difficult for me in the office as I did not get any support from the person whom I am directly reporting to.  I came to you, Mother Mary, and prayed, putting all my trust in you, for Your intercession that the management would approve the retrenchment benefits for me. Through the many months of rough times, thank you Mother Mary, for comforting me. I became calmer amidst the turmoil that I was going through. Mother Mary, thank you for introducing me to a new devout Catholic friend who gave me tremendous emotional support during the rough journey.

                                                                                    Your Loving Daughter.

2.   Dear Mother Mary,

I would like to say a big thank you to you and your Son for answering my prayers. My heart is filled with the greatest joy which I have received as the best gift this week. My husband got a job. I know for sure dear Mother, that it is through your intercession that this has happened according to God’s plan. Please continue to intercede for my family so that grace would deepen our faith and relationship with Jesus. Last week, we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. God has blessed us with peace, good health, love and grateful children. All these are possible only through your prayers and guidance.

                                                                Your Ever-Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for interceding for me in order to be posted to the polytechnic course of my choice. Even though I had not put it as my first choice, I was hoping that I would get into this course. Now, as I embark on my 3 year diploma course. Please stay by my side Mother. Please guide me and protect me, allow me to stay focused throughout my 3 years and do well so that I’ll be able to further my studies in a university after my National Service. Thank you Mother, for always staying by my side.

                                                                                     Your Loving Son.

  1. Dear Mother,

I would like to say a big thank you to you and your Son for answering my prayers and blessing my husband through our tough times when we were battling with his Lymphoma. Please continue to bless him to be cancer free and stay healthy.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Your Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for the opportunities to be able to return to   Singapore for the Christmas celebration and now for the Chinese New Year celebration with my family. I know all these    are not by chance but by God’s will. I thank God for His will and    direction and also His guidance in my daily life.

                                                                      Your Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

My parents introduced me to you, Mother Mary, when I was about 13 years old and now I am 69 years old. I have been coming for Novena devotions ever since and I have been blessed and our prayers have been answered.

                                                                                   Your Loving Son.
