Thanksgiving – 23 Mar 2019

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

My daughter celebrates her 21st Birthday today. She is a gift to me and I am truly blessed for the wonderful gift. I could remember clearly how the doctor told me then, that I had to abort her because she had health issues. I never gave in but continued to seek your intercession every day and I gave birth to her 21 years ago and to a healthy baby girl. Today, I want to thank you for always watching over her and as she is going to study overseas, I entrust her to you and may she always walk in the right path to Christ.

Your Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I am thankful for my father’s successful knee surgery. We believe Jesus was present to help all the medical team and to strengthen my father who usually cannot stand pain. Thank you for being with him.

Your Catholic Son.

  1. Dearest Mother,

This is an overdue thanksgiving. We came to your shrine 7 years ago, praying for a baby. Now, we have an active 2 year-old son and all because of your prayer and intercession.

Your Faithful Catholic Son.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I would like you thank you for showing me your grace and mercy. 3 years ago, when my partner decided to leave me, I felt so lost and in the same week, I had my year-end evaluation and to my surprise I did above average and I performed well. My week could have been a lot worse but every day I kept praying to you to have grace and mercy on me. Thank you for always hearing my prayers.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I just want to thank you for blessing us with a group of passionate Redemptorists who have been inspiring me.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I was very eager to do a hike. This time, in India primarily because of its relatively low cost. I was still hesitating as I had been out of job for a year and was feeling a little insecure financially. Through your grace, my son has generously sponsored my trip. Now I only need to concentrate on training and pray that all of us will complete the hike without any incident. Thank you, Mother, for your unceasing prayers and intercession.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

This thanksgiving letter comes after many years. That’s how ungrateful I have been. I may not write to you but I always think and pray to you. I know that you are always with me and my family. 2018 was a challenging year where I faced many problems at work and home. Demanding boss, cancer suffering father-in-law and a brother who constantly borrows money and wants the whole family to settle the debts for him. It really took a toll on me but in all these I know very well that you are comforting me through my close ones. Thank you so much, Mother, for never stop loving and caring for me. I am indebted to you.

Your Faithful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

It was really tough transiting back to work and juggling between work and family. Help was minimal to my family, nonetheless we managed to get by living on God’s mercy and strength. Reflecting on the journey and bringing my challenges to the Lord helped to tide us through difficult times. Thank you for shinning your light on my path and leading me back to Christ whenever I felt dejected.

Your Loving Child.
