Thanksgiving – 23 December 2023

1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for protecting my mum when she was in the ICU in October. She passed away peacefully wearing the scapular. She had such a peaceful and happy expression when she passed away that my younger sister felt convinced that the promise of the scapular was granted to her. As a result, my sister has also decided to wear the scapular always. Thank you, Mother, for your constant protection.

Your Loving Daughter.

2. Dear Mother Mary,

As the year is coming to an end, I would like to thank you and Lord Jesus, for blessing my family, relatives and friends. Thank you for being there for us in our joys and sadness and in our difficult moments. Thank you, Mother, for giving us the confidence in you and how quickly you always answered our prayers.

Your Grateful Child.

3. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for blessing me with a job that I needed very much to cover my household expenses and to pay for my housing loan installments. I also thank you for a smooth and successful surgery to remove an infected cyst that grew to the size of a ping pong ball on my chest. I was very much at peace throughout knowing that I was in your good hands. I was discharged the following day. I am recovering well with no further complications.

Your Ever-Grateful & Loving Daughter.

4. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for the many blessings I have received. You have listened to my prayers and sent me a life partner after I thought that I would be alone for the rest of my life and was comfortable with being single. My husband is now attending the RICA. If it is your Son’s will, please bless us with a healthy child.

Your Daughter.

5. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your prayers in helping me find a new job. Through this long process, it taught me patience and to wait on the Lord. I know with God, all things are possible and He knows what is best.

Your Loving Child.

6. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your prayers and intercession to God to grant me help for all the situations I’ve been through these 60 years. I have been truly blessed in all the ups and downs in life and I am eternally grateful for your prayers to your Son, to help me. I love you, Mother Mary.

Your Grateful Daughter.

7. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you once again for your intercession and thank your Son, Jesus, for His love and mercy, for He answered all our prayers. As we come to the end of 2023, there is so much to be grateful for – a successful eye operation for my husband, a gift of baby for my daughter who is expecting and God’s blessings upon them, for leading my son to join a Catholic Youth Ministry and for always giving me strength and guidance.

Your Daughter.

8. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for interceding for my son and helping him do well in his PSLE. I hope that we have chosen the right school for him and that he will be happy there and thrive. Mother, I will be starting a new job next month and I am feeling very apprehensive. Please guide me and pray for me that I will be able to make the transition smoothly and that the new place will be a right fit. Mother, I thank you that the relationship between my father and husband has improved a little. Please continue to bless and pray for peace and harmony in my family and that God will heal me of my cancer and bless my family with good health and peace.

Your Grateful Daughter.

9. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for the many blessings bestowed upon me throughout my life. I have been recently called to the Bar. I could not have made it without your intercession.

Your Loving Child.

10. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for answering my petition. For the past 6 months, I have been praying for a friend’s baby daughter who had a cancerous tumour. She had many surgeries and many procedures throughout the past 6 months and she will be a year soon. Her recently MRI showed promising results and her recovery will be a long process. I know that because of you all will be well. Thank you, my dearest Mother.

Your Loving Daughter.

11. Mother dearest,

I have always marked my petitions and thanksgivings “private”. It’s time I make them known! Since you embraced me when I was 17, you have always interceded for me and my extended family. From my youth to now, a grandmother. You were beside when I cried for my children, for my grandchildren, for my in-laws, for my nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Thank you for taking my mother peacefully in her sleep. Thank you for everything.

Your Child.

12. Dearest Mother Mary,

We are grateful for your intercession and prayers. We thank the Lord for being gracious to us and for granting our prayers. With your assistance, my son has completed his veterinary studies and is now a qualified veterinary doctor. Thank you, Mother Mary, for all the blessings that you have showered on us. We’ll honour and love you always.

Your Grateful Children.
