Thanksgiving – 23 Dec 2017

1.  Dearest Mother,

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. I cannot thank you enough for giving me a chance to stay here in Singapore. I promise to visit you whenever I can. I will always praise and glorify your name. I hope you will never get tired of me and my rants. I pray that you will continue to guide me, my family and friends, whom I love and care.

Your Faithful Child.

2.  Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

I have been coming to the Novena since 1957 when I was 17.   During these  60 years of my life, there were lots of ups and downs. I know the Lord did not promise that life would be easy but He did promise to walk with me every step of the way. I can never forget that during my lowest point and most heartbreaking times of my life, I kept running to you, Mother dearest, every Saturday with tears. And praying and talking to you gave me a great deal of comfort and you managed to wipe my tears away. Through your intercession, the good Lord has taken care of all my petitions and needs. There is nothing I    can ask for now that He has not already given to me good health, peace,  and a happy life.

Your Grateful Catholic Daughter.

3. Dearest Loving Mother,

Thank you for all the intercessions that you have given to my family and me. I first came to your shrine 18 years ago, but never on a regular basis. It was only 2 years ago that I began to attend Novena Services on a more regular basis as I prayed for my child’s PSLE, and miraculously, my husband’s business has also improved since I started to attend regularly as I prayed for his business. There are times when I do not feel like coming to your shrine for Novena and on those weeks that I failed to attend, I felt less uplifted and I know now how important is the  Novena Devotion to me and not only in my moments of desperation, loneliness, and helplessness.

Words cannot express fully how thankful I am for your Novena Devotion Services at Novena Church where I can come in my moments of sorrow and joy.

Thank you for all the blessings and protection of my family. I love you, Mother.                                                                                                                                                                                         Your Loving Daughter.

4.  Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for helping me to clear my financial debts. I managed to pay the workers on time and I am able to bring joy to people around me.

Your Son.

5.  Dear Mother Mary,

My wife and I want to thank you from the bottom of our heart for your intercession to our prayers for the healing of our daughter. For the past 16 days since my daughter was admitted to hospital, we prayed daily to your Son, Lord Jesus, for His healing of my daughter. We also sought your intercession and prayers for her. My daughter was discharged from hospital and is recovering well. My wife and I know that Jesus and you,     Mother Mary, have indeed answered our prayer. We are very grateful to the both of you.

Your Catholic Children.

6. Dearest Mother,

I thank you for answering my prayers. Some have been answered and some I believe it will be answered in His Time.  I continue to pray for my family.

Your Loving Daughter.

7. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I just want to say a big thank you to you for bringing me closer to Jesus. My family members are all non-Catholics. It is not an easy environment to build up my faith. But, against all odds, you stood by me whenever there were problems at home regarding my religion. In fact, these events helped to increase my faith. In the days leading to Christmas, may our hearts be humble so that Christ can be born in us.

Your Daughter.

8. Dearest Mother,

I am writing with a grateful heart for your help in answering my petition. My sister suffered a massive stroke in September  2017, just before Novena Church was re-opened. I submitted my petition and it was chosen to be read out during the Novena Session. We prayed the Divine Mercy daily and I have not missed the Novena since. I know God has heard your intercession as my sister is slowly recovering. She is still not discharged and is going through rehabilitative care. Thankfully she has improved so much. Please continue to intercede for her full recovery.

Your Loving Daughter.

9. Dearest Mother Mary,

Words cannot express how grateful I am to you for hearing my petition. Earlier this week, I wrote a petition asking you to help me find a treasured piece of jewellery which I had misplaced,   and was feeling very unsettled. My helper and I searched every corner of the house and every bag that I had used for my travels. Even my mother helped me with the search but to no avail. I lost hope of ever finding it again thinking that I may have left it in a hotel during one of my business travels. Today, I went to the Novena Devotion as part of my routine and I returned home and started packing my luggage as my family was traveling overseas the next day. To my amazement, I   found my treasured jewellery tucked in one of the side pockets.  I cried with tears of joy! This is again a testimony of your powerful intercession and your constant guidance and blessings that you have bestowed on me every day of my life.

Your Ever Grateful Daughter.

10. Dearest Mother,

It is with heartfelt thanks that I come to you. My father-in-law is now at peace with you and your Son, our Lord Jesus, after many years of being on dialysis. He passed away without much pain. It is his third month anniversary this Friday and we are holding a memorial for him and in remembrance of his fruitful life here and his final rest in Jesus. I thank you for your prayers and intercession and for dad to be able to receive his anointing of the sick and to make his confession before he was called to his rest. We know that through his faith in You and our Lord he is now in heaven and is truly happy. Please continue to pray for us to accept our loss and for the health of my mother-in-law who has been left in sadness. Thank you, dear Mother. I love you.

Your Catholic Son.
