Thanksgiving – 21 October 2023

1. Dearest Mother Mary,

This is the first letter of thanksgiving I have written. It is filled with so much love and gratitude. Praise the Lord Jesus and through your continued intercession and prayers. In a year filled with worries and troubles surrounding my health, you have helped me keep my faith when I needed it most. Your presence in my life has grown stronger and I have no doubt that through prayers and love, you have brought that forth for the Lord’s blessings and guidance. Praise be to God- thank you my Mother, and I love you.

Your Grateful Son.

2. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for your motherly intercession and prayers. We are grateful for spending these 2 months with you. Thank you for being gracious to us, hearing our prayers for my brother who has successfully got a job. Please continue to guide, and fill him with passion & inspiration for the tasks that lie ahead. May he bring your love and truth to others through the work that he does now.

Your Loving Catholic Daughter.

3. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for your prayers and intercession. My blood tests and CT scans are within normal range except for the degeneration of my lower back spine. Please continue to pray for me for good health and according to your Son’s will. I also pray for those who are going through chemotherapy. Thank you once again Mother.

Your Ever Grateful Daughter.

4. Dear Mama Mary,

Sorry for this belated heartfelt “Thank you’ for interceding for my mother’s successful surgery. You are always there for my family. Praise & Thanksgiving to God & Jesus who always take care of us like you do. Thank you once again Mother Mary for all the blessings we received.

Your Faithful Daughter.

5. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

This thanksgiving letter is long overdue. I passed my practical driving test in July. This driving license means a lot to me. I am very grateful to you.  The entire journey to attaining this driving license has been a humbling experience. Every time I sought your intercession, I could feel Jesus’ presence and guidance.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you dear Mother Mary.

Your Grateful & Faithful Daughter.

6. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for your prayers and intercession. I came to your shrine seeking your intercession for a new job and getting right with God. Though I have yet to get a new job, your prayers have helped me to gain more graces from Jesus: a more disciplined prayer life, developing a heart of forgiveness, awareness of being habitually judgmental and having negative thoughts/self-image. These are saving graces, especially in the recent months when I was sick, hospitalised and in solitude at home. I was depressed, lost and confused. This health issue was totally unexpected when I was so fixated with finding a new job and seeking your intercession in Jan 2023. Praise the Lord for His Love and mercy for He knows what I need and He does not give in to my whims that may harm me. Throughout this tribulation, God did not give up on me, a stiff-necked child. His love is unchanging and everlasting.

Your Catholic Daughter.

7. Dear Mother Mary,

I have been writing petitions to you during my father’s 19 days stay in ICU. Today, my father has been discharged from ICU and is being treated in general ward for his recovery. This would not be possible without your help and intercession to our Lord Jesus. Please continue to pray and intercede to Jesus so that my father can get well soon. Thank you, Mother Mary.

Your Grateful Son.

8. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your loving intercession. My wife has been granted the long-term pass and has started her new job. I will continue to pray that she will be happy with her new job and be able to get along and work well with her colleagues. Thank you once again Mother Mary for your prayers and intercession.

Your Catholic Son.
