Thanksgiving – 21 Mar 2020

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I thank you for having interceded for me to God to grant me a promotion at work. Please continue to pray for me to serve as a manager with humility and wisdom in a Catholic way. Do not allow me to be complacent or think that I can conquer challenges without God. Thank you for all the graces you have prayed for me.

Your Unworthy Catholic Son.

  1. Thank you, Mother Mary, even though there is an increasing number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Singapore, the government and all people in Singapore have united in their efforts so as to minimise the spread of the virus. I know Mother that you are interceding for us. Thank you so much Mother Mary.

Your Loving Child.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I kept putting off writing this thanksgiving letter. I don’t have the privilege to be able to attend Novena often as my husband stopped me from going to Church as soon as I got married. Few years ago, I defied him and started going for Masses. It was painful in the beginning as he made life difficult. I am grateful for the many blessings in my life on uncountable occasions especially when things seemed hopeless. The Lord has always been keeping watch over me and my loved ones. Thank you, Dearest Mother for interceding for me.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Back in January 2019, I wrote a thanksgiving to you. I managed to conceive again after my miscarriage in Aug 2018. At the same time, I asked for your intercession to protect my unborn child and prayed for a smooth pregnancy. My pregnancy was filled with anxiety as I was mentally affected by my previous loss. I had to stop work due to my high-risk pregnancy and was bed bound. I was very anxious and suffered several panic attacks. I prayed the rosary daily and it helped to ease my anxiety and worries. As my condition was a serious one, I often worried about my child’s life in my womb. Before any medical appointment, I would say the rosary to ease my anxieties and calm my nerves. With your intercession and St Gerard’s, I managed to deliver a healthy baby boy. He is 6 months old now and I thank God every day for giving me this gift of life. Thank you, Mother Mary for this blessing and all the blessings you have bestowed on my family. I am eternally grateful. Please grant me wisdom and courage as a new parent and help me overcome the hurt of losing my first child.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother,

Thank you for your intercession and help. I thank you that you have sent 2 friends in a similar situation as me to help and offer advice and support. They prayed over me without asking what I wanted to pray for but it turned out to be exactly what I was asking God for. I felt so hopeless and alone and God responded. Thank you beyond words.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Beloved Mother,

Thank you for blessing me and my wife. We have just completed 20 years of married life and cannot but help reflect on the numerous blessings that have come our way, including our 3 loving children. Words can’t describe how grateful I am for the unbelievable turnaround we have witnessed in our personal circumstances in the last year.

9 months ago, my wife was in tears and was forced to quit her job. She was unable to deal with office politics in a toxic work environment and she had lost faith in her manager. Thankfully, she has landed a job. She now works for a very supportive supervisor and has rebuilt her confidence working in the new environment.

12 months ago, I was so insecure in my job as I was unsuccessful in meeting targets despite working extremely hard. This year, we have been rewarded abundantly because I have done much better than the set target, a situation I could hardly visualize last year. The security it has given me and my team, and the positive attitude all around are all thanks to Your Son’s blessing. I know well that great times won’t last forever. May I remain grateful to you for this experience and remember this when the going gets tough.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Words cannot express our gratitude to you for helping our daughter conceive a child. We believe that this is through your loving motherly intercession.

In fact, during the month of February, we had received so many blessings, which we know are all from the merciful grace of God. Early in February, after many months of appeal with the authorities, my driving licence was finally renewed. Although it took months of appeal, I discerned that this long wait was a sign from God to me to be careful when driving. Later, I applied for a special parking disk, this was granted without any problem.

In the middle of February, our son received a job offer with a higher-than-expected salary, despite the weak employment market due to the Covid-19 situation. This is very clearly a gift from God.

During my health therapy in February, a senior doctor attended to me, although I am only eligible for a subsidized-care category. The care provided by the experienced doctor made a great difference in my treatment.

Then, we got the best news – our daughter told us that she has conceived a child. Dear Mother, please continue to protect and guide her during her pregnancy.

Thank you for answering all our prayers so quickly.

  1. Dear Mother,

I would like to share my joy. I prayed for my sister who suffered from a divorce and was going through a difficult relationship with our mother. She was depressed and I prayed that you would guide her and give her wisdom to face these challenges. Today she is standing on her feet again. Her relationship with my mom seems to have improved. I thank you for loving us so much.

Your Non-Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I prayed to you for my children’s exams (1st year Uni and “O” Levels). Both of them did well. My daughter managed to enroll into the JC of her choice. Thank you, Mother for watching over them. Most of all, thank you for drawing all my 3 children closer to God and to the Catholic Faith. I pray they will continue to be engaged in the Faith. I know all these are only possible with your intercession.

  1. Dear Mother,

Recently I had an episode of heart issues and was very ill. I would like to thank you and Our Lord Jesus for being there for me during this trying time. I felt so afraid and alone but you showed me that I am not alone. You were there comforting me. All the procedures went smoothly and I was discharged. I trust in you and love you always.
