Thanksgiving – 21 July 2018

1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I have been praying for a more meaningful career in the healthcare industry. I had been lifting my prayers to our Lord Jesus, for this career switch to happen in His time. I had also been seeking for your intercession to have the grace and patience like you during this time and I have been offered a position in a hospital within 2 weeks of my application. I am looking forward to serving God’s people in my new workplace which will be different from the very economically driven environment that I am in now.

2. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for your continual prayers for a dear one. She had achieved very good results in her last semester exams as well as in her thesis and assignments. Thank you so much, Mother, that with her results, she is able to continue her Masters’ programme under a scholarship. Praise the Lord, for answering our prayers. Her practical internship at the clinic has started at the same time as having classes at the university. Please continue to pray for her so that she will graduate as a clinical psychologist by end of December next year.

3. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for answering my prayers for my friends and family. After 4 months of being unemployed, my friend’s husband has found a job in Singapore which will keep the family together. Thank you for helping my other friend in her work. Her employers have given her more resources and relieved the huge stress she was facing. Thank you for keeping my mother safe from her fall 3 weeks ago. I am ever grateful for your help.

4. Dear Mother Mary,

My first visit to the Novena Church was on 30th June with the intention of confession for healing of a broken relationship. However, I found peace as I entered the church and attended the Novena devotion for the first time. I had been heartbroken a month ago after losing contact with the person I cared most. I prayed to you, Mother Mary, that God be merciful and work miracle for me. God is love and on the 3rd of July, I received a surprise message from this person that I prayed for.

5. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for your kind prayers. Thank you for reminding me that God is on my side and He is my helper. After so many months of searching for a job, I found a contract job. Although it’s a contract job, I hope that I will be happy working.

6. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Three weeks ago, I wrote a petition in this church for my husband to get a job and a nice place to stay in the new country he is in now. With your powerful intercession and the divine mercy of your Son, my prayers have been answered.

My husband got a place to stay with a good family and he also managed to get a job with a salary more than we expected. Thank you so much Mother. We know you are always with us.

7. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you very much for guiding me and always guarding my health. Thank you for constantly reminding me that Jesus still loves me despite all my mistakes.

8. Dearest Mother,

My deepest heartfelt gratitude for your gift of love and all your intercessions since I stepped into the church 16 years ago. Through your intercession, you have lifted me from depression, blessed me with a life partner, and 2 beautiful and healthy children. Words cannot express how grateful I am towards you. Thank you for being merciful towards me and my family. I love you, Mother Mary, and I will always be faithful.

9. Dearest Mother Mary,

I cannot thank you enough for comforting me and interceding to your Son for me, especially for the past few days. Last Tuesday, when I was at the church garden looking at your image, I looked into your eyes and I saw so much love and comfort. I heard you saying to me “Do not worry my child. My Son knows and is doing something for you.” True enough the same afternoon, I received a call from the company informing me that I was successful in the job application. Thank you so much for your help. I remembered during lunch time Mass on the feast day of St Thomas, the priest said that God answers prayers in many ways, sometimes it may not be in the way that we would like it to be. I pray for more time to spend with my family and to have a closer bond with the children.

10. Dearest Mother Mary,

Ever since I came into this church to ask you to pray for me, you have granted all my prayers and assisted me in overcoming all my obstacles and challenges. I am forever grateful to you for interceding and also taking care of me and my family. Especially in my health issue a couple of years back and enabled me to recuperate and be able to continue working.
