1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

As we celebrate 75 years of Novena devotions to you in Singapore, I thank you for walking with me all these years with your prayers, care and motherly protection. Thank you for being with me, especially in the darkest and saddest hours of my life. Please continue to journey with me for the rest of my life.

Your devoted son.

2. Dearest Mother Mary!

Your grateful children

3. Dear Blessed Mother Mary,

I thank you for your loving guidance and for drawing me ever closer to Your precious Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Through your intercession and tender care, I have felt peace, encouragement, and a growing trust in God’s plan. Thank you for being a loving Mother to me, for helping me get to know you more, and for leading me to a deeper love for Jesus. With heartfelt gratitude,

Your loving daughter.

4. Dear Mama Mary,

Thank you for your intercession and prayers for my trip with my mom to Australia. I was very anxious on our way there as my mom was not feeling well. She recovered eventually, and we enjoyed our annual trip to visit my sister based there. Thank you for the intercession, Mama Mary, for blessings and good health for my mom and my family.

5. Dearest Mother,

This is a long overdue thanksgiving letter. I had been to the Novena services and annual processions since my teens but had stopped attending for 20 years since I had my children. However, Mother you have not forgotten about me. I was very grateful that I could attend the Novena Services again when the services were held at Church of The Risen Christ. It brought me back to you again. Thank you, Mother, for watching over and praying for me and my family. We have many trials, but you are always with us. Thank you also for praying for the success of my knee replacement surgery 2 weeks ago despite the number of health issues I have. I love you, Mother,

Your grateful daughter.

6. Dear Mother Mary

I just want to say THANK YOU for all your intercessions for me to your Son. I have been through a lot of challenges since losing my life savings to a scam but somehow Jesus has provided for me. I thank Him for His Grace and Love which never fails me. I continue to pray for wisdom, discernment and protection in my journey. Thank you again for your intercession.

7. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

As we celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary on this very day of your Blessed Nativity, we want to thank you for having watched over us through our numerous Ups & Downs, our Joys & Sorrows, our Excitements & Apprehensions through the past three decades. Thank you for helping us to keep faith in your Son Our Lord Jesus Christ, no matter what our state of life has been. Today, as we’re living overseas & enter our golden years with our daughter in young adulthood, Novena’s 75th Anniversary rekindles fond memories of our time attending the Novena every other Saturday. We’d like to ask Our Blessed Mother for her continued blessings & protection for us & the many families with their own predicaments.

With Grateful Hearts, Your Son & Daughter.

8. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your prayers and intercession for my husband. He had surgery about a month ago to remove a tumour and despite some complications, the surgery was successful, and he has been making good progress in his recovery. Today, he resumed work and most of his normal activities. We want to thank you Mother for watching over my husband and for sending him a team of experienced, dedicated doctors and attentive nurses who took care of him very well during his stay in hospital after the surgery. The doctor told my husband that he is very lucky that the tumour was removed before it had the opportunity to metastasize or invade other organs. However, we know that it is not just a matter of luck, but because of your maternal protection and timely intervention that the tumour was detected and removed before it did further damage. Dear Mother, we seek your prayers and intercession to your Son our Lord Jesus the ultimate healer, for my husband to be permanently healed and be free of cancer. Please also protect him from any other illnesses. Thank you, Dearest Mother, for your unfailing help.

Your grateful children.

9. Dearest Mother Mary,

As we celebrate your birthday. I was first introduced to you as a kid, when my dad fervently brought me to the old Novena church for weekly Novena devotions. I did not understand what was going on, but memories of people spilling out of the church, kneeling on the hard floor, fanning themselves in the hot weather, week after week remained etched in my mind. Now in my mid-20s, I still see so many people attending the Novena every week and I have come to understand why. Your humility and meekness have taught me how to be a better person, slowly shaped me into the woman I am growing to become. You never forget your children in your powerful intercessions and prayers, and I always find so much comfort in running to you in a difficult situation or after a hard day. When I am at a loss for words because of heartbreak or disappointment, I just find myself reciting the rosary and lifting it all up to you. You are my comforter, a safe space to let my weaknesses be shown, and a confidante. Happy birthday mother.

Your grateful daughter

10. Dearest Mother Mary,

Dearest Mother Mary, I am writing to Thank you sincerely for all your prayers for my son. Last year was a very tough year for him as he struggled with work and personal relationships, eventually leaving his job. After months of countless applications, he managed to secure a job, not what he was hoping for, but I trust that God’s plan for him is the best. Thank you, dearest Mother, for always being kind and generous with your love for us.

Your grateful Son.
