Thanksgiving – 2 Jun 2018

1. Dearest Mother Mary,

This letter has been long overdue. You have always been by my side, lending me your support whenever my life was in some difficulty. Decades ago, when I lost my job, you helped me in finding a new job within a month and then few years ago when the situation at my office got out of control with a very temperamental and intolerable boss, you prompted me to tender my resignation without securing a new job. As the sole breadwinner, I was so terrified and felt insecure as to how I could take care of my family. But once again you came to my aid by presenting me a better opportunity even when I was still serving my notice.

A similar situation happened again in the past few months while I was looking for a new job. I went for an interview for a wonderful role and was slated into the final two candidates only to be informed later on that the potential employer would likely choose the other candidate who has more relevant experience. Imagine my total surprise when eventually I was chosen to fill that role and this happened because I relied on you. Those episodes taught me a valuable lesson that nothing is impossible if God has His plans and through your intercession miracles can happen even when all hopes are almost lost.

2. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Great thanks to you for the safe delivery of my grandson on the 23^rd of May 2018. Through your intercession, both mother and child are well. Kindly bless them with good health and the baby with restful sleep during the night. I also thank you for the successful operation of my niece on the 26^th of April 2018.

3. Dearest Mother,

I have been coming to Novena since young. And just before our Church closed for renovation in 2014, I wrote to you and prayed to you for a loving husband and to meet a guy to settle down in life with as I was getting older. Thank you, dearest Mother, for answering my prayers and giving me the blessing of meeting a wonderful guy in 2016. He is so loving, so respectful and well-liked by my family. We are now married and he is an amazing husband to me. Thank you so much Mother, for this great happiness you have given me and for your blessings and intercession.

4. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for watching over me during the time in my present company. It is close to a year and you have been there for me during all the ups and downs I have had. There were times I felt stressed and almost wanted to give up but you were there for me. I continue to seek your protection and guidance in this company.

Your Grateful and Loving Child.

 

5. Dearest Mother,

I want to say Thank You very much for helping my son’s medical results. I came to your shrine and pleaded with you to help him. Thank you, Mother, for interceding for me and my family.

6. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I have been praying for many years for my brother to reconcile with my parents. I did not give up hope even when the possibility seemed very bleak. I am writing this letter to thank you from the bottom of my heart for interceding to your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ as my brother made the first step towards reconciliation with my parents today. I know that this would not have been possible without your prayers and blessings. I hope that this sharing will bear witness to my fellow brothers and sisters that all is possible with God and that we only need to pray, be patient and surrender to God. He will grant our petition in His Time not our time. I am very happy to have our family together again. I pray that you will continue to guide and bless us. Thank you once again Blessed Mother!

7. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

We know that you are there for us when we prayed and called you for your help and intercession. When we faced problems of all kinds, you are there for us to help us go through them. Thank you very much for helping us in our financial matters and for the protection from evil and harm.

Thank you for letting me have good grades and watching over me while I was preparing for my exams.

9. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you, Mother Mary, for protecting and taking care of my son and his friends during their trip to Japan. They have since returned to Singapore safely.

10. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you, Mother Mary, for bringing us safely back home from our recent holiday in Spain and Portugal. Thank you for this beautiful holiday as I was looking forward to visiting your shrine in Fatima. I was sorry not to have been able to spend more time in Fatima as we had joined a conducted tour. But I am sure I will be able to go back to visit your shrine on another occasion. Thank you, Mother, once again as you continue to intercede to our Father for all of us.
