Thanksgiving – 2 Feb 2019

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for answering my prayers. I was diagnosed with pneumonia 2 weeks ago. I prayed very hard and I have recovered and was discharged from the hospital.

Your Catholic Child.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

There were a lot of issues in my life, I came to your shrine and wrote petitions to you. Most of my prayers were answered and we are now living happily. Thank you, Mother Mary, for all your blessings and intercession.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

Thank you so much for your unceasing love, prayers and intercession that you have showered upon me through my lonely childhood. Whenever I was contemplating suicide by sitting at the window’s edge, the image of you would appear. I did not know you then but now I know it was you who comforted me. Thank you for seeing me through all the difficult times. I would not be here without your love and prayers. Thank you dearest Mother.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you so much for praying and interceding for my son during his ‘O’ Level exams till the day he received his results. Through your prayers and intercession, he has done well to qualify for admission to a Junior College. My son’s positive change in his attitude towards his study just before his ‘O’ Level exams and his good results would not have been possible without your prayers and intercession.

  1. Dearest Mother,

Two weeks ago, I came to the Novena and I was immensely touched by the sermon and ministering that one of your priests had delivered. I felt God speaking and reaching out to me. This is one of the many times that I ha
ve encountered God’s love and healing touch at the Novena Devotion. Such weekly devotions would not have been possible if it weren’t for your priests who work and pray tirelessly for their flock. Your priests are indeed wonderful instruments of God: spirit-filled, passionate and loving. Thank you for always interceding for them and thank you for the gift of these priests.

Your Child.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

No words can express our thanks to you for granting my son’s good ‘O’ Level results. Four years ago, he seemed to have lost his direction and developed bad attitude. We were very concerned and were at a loss as to how to help him. Although I am a cradle Catholic, I was never a good and faithful one. I turned to your help in desperation. It was a tough journey for the last 4 years and I lost faith many times along the way but my wife was always by my side to remind me that you worked in strange ways and not to give up. Upon receiving his results, we were so glad and thankful to you, Mother Mary, for answering our petition and granting him good results to apply for admission to Catholic Junior College where he can benefit from being in a Catholic environment.

Your Grateful Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Since young, I had a certain attraction to the Saturday Novena. Inspired hymns, lyrics, both ancient and modern, written to you and about you, never fail to lift up to my lowly spirit. I just want to thank you for my life, however difficult it is and however difficult I am as a person, I have this privilege to know and honor you as my Heavenly Mother. Because you are exemplary, I am learning to be docile to the Word and the Will of God. I am in my fifties now. I still regress into sin. My source of consolation is seeing the Lord picking himself up again after falling on his knees under the weight of my sins; and then seeing you, His mother with him in a quiet distant. What an image of unconditional love. Thank you, Mother, for saying yes and thank you for your constant influence on me to be as docile and as giving as you.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for helping my neighbour’s teenage son to pass his examinations last year. He was diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder and was classified in danger of harmful behavior due to stress but his condition has improved significantly. His parents have been very worried with his condition, but they are feeling and coping better now as a family. I know that it is through your intercession that he is slowly improving. Please intercede for him as he will be taking exams as a private candidate in May.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

This thanks
giving letter is long overdue. A few years ago, my husband underwent an open heart surgery and everything went well till he came out of the ICU to the ordinary ward in the hospital. He had some complications and I thought I would lose him as the doctors were not able to diagnose the problem. As he suffered in pain, I held his hand and prayed to you and to your loving Son for his recovery. Two days later, he was diagnosed and the problem was solved. We are so thankful for your intercession and has since been regular at your Novena.

Your Ever Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you so much for interceding for my daughter for her new job. And she is getting along well with her boss and colleagues.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

My son has either failed his exam or passed with a border line grade since primary school. As he was addicted to his phone, I was very worried about his ‘O’ Level exams and I came to pray to you. It’s a miracle that he passed all his subjects and he is eligible to enter the Polytechnic and the course that he wanted. Thank you once again for your prayers and intercession.

Your Loving Catholic Daughter.
