Thanksgiving – 17 Mar 2018

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I have been sending petitions and attending the novena to pray for a life partner. I have been praying hard and hoping that if God will provide a partner, he will also be God-fearing. Recently, I got to know a guy and we are getting to know each other. I have been discovering a lot of my prayers coincide with his. All those traits I have been praying for in a man are found in him. I am thankful for this wonderful experience and it is truly an answered prayer for me.

                                                                                 Your Faithful Daughter.

2. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for being with me the past 6 weeks and comforting me with your presence. Thank you for drawing my attention to the lump in my breast and for helping to secure such a quick and fortuitous appointment with a breast specialist, exactly on the day and time that my schedule had freed up. Thank you that the lump has turned out to be a cyst and only needs monitoring. I know that my health is in your hands and you will pray for me.

                                                                                Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I would like to give thanks for the following: – A safe trip recently to meet future relatives and the love they showed us. – That we were safe despite the earthquake and that there were no further tremors. – For the gift my grandmother left us. – For helping me to complete a thorough spring cleaning of my room. – For the long catch-up I had with my good friend and for her love, support and loyalty. – For the relationship between me and my new friend that has finally blossomed after 4 years. – For my parents and their unconditional love, patience and forgiveness. – For the confession I was finally able to make last year prior to Christmas. – For my brother who has shown me unconditional love and support and has been my role model till today.

                                                                                              Your Child.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I had gone through a rough time in trying to complete my PhD which ended in total disaster. That experience left me, for a period of 6 months, in constant tears and anger because there was poor supervision. It was also then that the Holy Spirit prompted me through people around me to go back to Novena and since then I found myself grounded and left everything to God. I embarked on another PhD and the last 4 years was smooth-sailing as I prayed continuously. Mary, Mother of God, thank you for your kind intercession. I have passed and look forward to closing this chapter of my life. Thank you for never leaving my side even when I had doubts.

                                                                                                                                                                                                       Your Loving Daughter.

  1. 5. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help, This past week has taken a toll on me from anxieties about myself and my family. I implored you, asking you to take me closer to God and you heard my prayer. It is indeed true that you never leave us, thank you Mother. Because of you, now I can walk straight and strong to face trials and tribulations knowing that my God will save.

                                                                                     Your Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

It is often said that bad things come all together. Through your intercession however, I was blessed that good things come together too. I was jobless for more than a year. Being the sole bread winner and 4 kids to feed, I felt stressed and insecure. I did odd jobs here and there but they were not sustainable. I finally secured a job 2 weeks ago. The way I got this job was nothing short of a miracle and this can only be through the grace of God! The second blessing came a few days ago when we received a pleasant surprise that our son did very well in his A Level exams. This was way beyond our expectation as well as his. 2 days ago, my wife decided to pay a visit to my mother. They had been at odds with each other for many years and had not visited one another, not even for the reunion dinner. Through your intercession, this visit took place and they had so much to chat. As a husband and a son, I felt overjoyed and thankful to God that he has finally answered our prayers. I pray that they will both be healed from these years of tension.

                                                                                   Your Loving Son.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

A year plus of trying to conceive without much success left us disappointed and clueless as to why this was happening to us. I was urged by medical professionals to go for the costly artificial insemination, but I chose to have faith instead. One Sunday, during a weekly announcement, we were particularly moved by the video shown of the Centennial celebration of Our Lady of Fatima and that began my devotion to Mother Mary. 5 months of devotion to Mother Mary and pleas for her intercession and I find myself pregnant. I truly believe this is a gift from you, Mother Mary, and I pray and thank you for being there for me and my husband to start a family. I continue to pray for the strength to journey through this road to motherhood and have a happy healthy baby

                                                                                             Your Child.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I am so grateful to you. You have been blessing me and  showering me with your love since I was pregnant with my son at the age of 18. Then, my family said all kinds of things that I would bring disgrace to the family, bring the family name    down and that I should abort my child so that the family name will not be tarnished as I was not married. Mother, you stood by me and gave me strength to bring my child into this world. He is now 19 years old and I have two other sons blessed by you. I am happily married to the father of my three sons. I am truly grateful for all that you have done for me and my family. I have raised my boys to be respectful. You have given me a wonderful husband and three beautiful children. You have been there for me in my ups and downs. You have never failed to be there guiding me whenever I needed your help. It took me 18 years to write this thanksgiving letter. Deep down inside, you know I will never fail to love you.

                                                                         Your Loving Daughter

  1. Dearest Mother, This is a long overdue letter. My eldest son was released from prison last April. I pleaded with you and you have answered my   He did not get any canning, nor was there publicity about his crime. He is now working. Please continue to guide and guard him on the right path.

                                                                     Your Non-Catholic Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help, I thank you wholeheartedly for your intercession, love and compassionate action in answering my prayer. As I do not know how to thank you enough, I will invite all my friends to come to Novena Church to experience your great love whenever they I will also pray earnestly for more vocations and conversions.

On 16 February, the tutor of my friend’s daughter shared his concern that his father was in the ICU for about a week. Being the 1st day of the Lunar New Year, his family could not share a meal with their father but were worrying and visiting him in the hospital instead. I comforted him and told him not to worry and that I would offer a Special Intention at Mass for his father at Novena Church at 8am on the 18th of February. I visited Novena Church every Saturday before 7am to attend the Eucharistic Celebration, recite the Rosary and the Novena Devotion. I advised him to pray at the same time with a sincere heart as he was  with me.

On the 27th of February, my friend informed me that the tutor’s father whom I had offered Mass woke up during the Mass time. What a great joy for the whole family! It is Mother Mary’s great love for her children that this miraculous cure has happened. So I suggested to my friend that I would offer a Thanksgiving Mass for the tutor’s father and also advised the tutor to offer one for his own father, too.

I would like to share this great joy and gratitude to our Mother  of Perpetual Help. Mother Mary, a million thanks and your  great love for us is deeply appreciated.

                                                                     Your Beloved Daughter.
