Thanksgiving 16 Mar 2019

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I have been going to Novena Church for many years. I am a non-Catholic and my husband is a Taoist. I really do not know how to thank you enough for the miracles you have done for me. I went to China in January to visit my relatives. I took a train and as I could not find a lift to go up in the station, I took the escalator, the 22kg-luggage which I was holding slipped and dragged me down. Fortunately, I carried a backpack. When I fell with my feet up and my head down on the escalator. The staff quickly switched off the escalator and attended to me with another person who was behind me. The staff checked my back for any injuries but there was none. I cried and trembled. The staff said I was very lucky that the backpack cushioned my fall. I could have died or injured my spinal cord. I know you helped me survive this accident. Mother, I know you are always there to help me, preventing my falls and this was not the first time I fell. 2 years ago I fell down 4 steps but when I landed on the ground, I was standing upright. It was a miracle because my body was slanted the moment I fell. My bones would have been broken. I always carry my Rosary when travelling. Thank you so much and I love you, Mother.

Your Non-Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you Mother Mary for interceding and blessing my students. The majority of them passed the exams and did well.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I fell gravely ill last July and had to be hospitalised for a whole month. After that, I had to undergo chemotherapy over 6 months. I am so thankful to our Lord Jesus for helping me recover so quickly and meeting so many wonderful people who helped me get better. Thank you Lord Jesus and Mother Mary for watching over me.

Your Loving Child.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I am extremely grateful for your intercession. I was struggling to survive in my great financial difficulties and was unable to secure an office job due to my age for the last 12 years. I took on an F&B job with very long hours and faced discrimination and back stabbing. I went for an interview last week and was offered an administrative position immediately. Thank you Mother Mary and Lord Jesus for this miracle.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

My sister is going through a difficult moment in her marriage. She has not accepted Christ and has always been sceptical of my faith and even steer her young daughter away from any mention of God or Jesus. But just a few hours ago, after I shared with her about your Shrine, your intercession and your unwavering help, she told me she has sent in a petition through the Novena app. I know I no longer need to write a petition for her but instead, a letter of Thanksgiving for I know that with your intercession, she will come through this trial of hers. And very soon, this sister of mine will join me in singing praise to you. Thank you dearest Mother.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I am the only Catholic in my family but my husband will be getting baptised this Easter and so will my toddler son. I thank you for interceding for my family and keeping us whole and intact and now we can serve God together. From what seemed like a hopeless situation last year that almost bordered on divorce, we are becoming stronger as a family.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you with all my heart because I have received many blessings via Novena Church since I met you in the year 2002. No words can express my happiness. You have blessed me with 4 children and my husband got a good job in Singapore and I am working in the Singapore Government Sector and we are blessed to have a house in Singapore.

Your Faithful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

This is a long overdue thanksgiving letter. You have always helped me and my family to go through all the difficult moments in our lives. Last year, my husband was struggling for an opportunity in Australia and he finally managed to get a job that he was looking for. He has moved to Australia and my son and I will be joining him in June. This is a big decision for us as Singapore has been our home for 11 years and Novena Church has always been so close to our hearts as we have experienced miracles ourselves. Thank you Mother, for always looking after me and my family.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

This is a long overdue letter of thanksgiving. My husband has passed on almost half a year ago to be with the Lord. Even though he had multiple illnesses, he did not suffer much except for the last few months of his life. His illness did not drag on for a long time. Even on the day before he died, he could eat, talk and look forward to the following day to be discharged. If he had lived on, he would probably have more suffering and health worries. Now all these worries are gone for he is in the House of God.

Your Child.
