1. Dear Mother Mary, thank you for always being at our side even when our hearts and eyes are not on you. Forgive us for these times and guide us to always keep you and God in our thoughts, speech and actions. Thank you, Mother.
2. To my gracious Mother of Perpetual Help,
I came to Singapore in 1982 and have since been going to Novena to petition your help in finding a job for my husband, conceiving a child, and helping my son get a job. ALL my requests have been granted. Through the years, I never once returned to write a letter of thanksgiving. It is about time to say a BIG THANK YOU for your faithfulness and love.
Your loving migrant daughter.
3. Dearest Mother Mary,
I humbly express my gratitude and thanksgiving for all your prayers for my family. Recently, we were able to bring my dad to Perth on a holiday – he has stage IV lung cancer and has been in a wheelchair and in an out of hospital. Thank you for your protection during the wonderful trip we had, the weather was amazing, and we were able to make many wonderful memories together as a family.
Your loving daughter.
4. Dear Mother & Lord Jesus,
I wanted to just say thanks and how grateful I am to have both of you in my life. It’s been a tough 7 months since my sister was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, I lost my dad, and my mum had to go through surgery. It was like fighting a never-ending battle. I had to leave my job to take my sister for cancer treatment and look after my mum in hospital. Even though I don’t know what lies ahead, I believe that God will never forsake me, and you my dearest Mother will be there to give me comfort. It’s been 24 years since I was baptised and no matter what I go through I know you will be always there for me. Thankful and grateful always.
Your loving Catholic Daughter
5. Dear Mother Mary,
Upon completion of my diploma, I attended 9 weeks of Novena to gain discernment in my university applications. Although I did not secure a place in any university this semester, I trusted God’s plan and was guided to an internship in a good working environment. Please continue to intercede for me as I have applied for universities in the next semester.
Your loving daughter
6. Dear Mother Mary,
This year began as a real nightmare for me. I was harassed at work and felt very trapped. Through your Son’s providence, I tasted what divine intervention looked like for the first time in my life. The Lord gave me time off to recuperate and grow, and you have been so present in my life. All I desire now is closeness to God, to you and to my family. Please continue to keep your mantle of protection over me, help me to imitate the grace and beauty, that is, living in faith in God. Amen.
7. Dearest Mother,
11 Years ago, I gave birth to a very beautiful child, who was a micro-preemie. At 26 weeks old, my child fought all odds and overcame the critical phase of her birth with the Lord’s divine grace and love. Mother, today my child is healthy, happy and lives her life just like any other 11-year-old and I have no words to express my heartfelt gratitude for your love, Mother. Thank you for always being there for me and my family and for protecting us always. We can never imagine a life without you. Please continue to pray for us and for all children who need you.
Your ever grateful daughter.
8. Holy Mother,
2 months ago, I suddenly fell into depression due to drug abuse. I could not sleep for days and got paranoid of darkness and of being alone. I was lost every day at nightfall and anxiety filled me up. I started praying the rosary with my wife and attended the healing mass on Friday. A miracle happened. I overcame the depression and went back to normal life and have been sleeping well again. Thank you, Mother and Jesus, for not giving up on me.
9. Thank you, God, for giving me a beautiful year. Thank you for your guidance, I was able to pass 4th year medicine, was able to come to Singapore and go on my elective abroad. Something I never thought would be possible. Thank you for giving me a great family, a strong and healthy mother and please keep blessing them. Thank you for keeping them safe. You always protect me even when I give you so little in return. Please help me repay you by helping others.
