Thanksgiving – 16 September 2023

1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

I like to thank you for your intercession through Jesus which enabled my cataract operation in June to be done safely, smoothly and successfully. My eye has healed very well. I am also grateful that my recent routine screening had good results and gave me a clean bill of health.

Your Loving Daughter.

2. Dearest Mother,

My mother is 88 years old and has advanced dementia. She is hospitalized and does not want to take her medication and meals. The helper’s work permit is expiring in October and I felt so burdened. I prayed to you for your intercession. After my prayers, I received the news that the helper has agreed to continue to look after my mum. Thank you, dearest Mother, for answering my prayers. I know that you are praying for us.

Your Grateful Child.

3. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for praying for my dad who underwent a smooth and successful hernia surgery.

Your Loving Child.

4. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you very much for your blessing and for answering our prayers. My niece gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl last week, all of us rejoice on the arrival of the new born, a bundle of joy for the family. Thank you so much, dearest Mother, for keeping my niece safe throughout her pregnancy. You are our Mother of mercy and we are most grateful to you.

Your Ever-Loving Daughter.

5. Dearest Mother,

A few weeks ago I wrote a petition to you to watch over my daughter’s friend who was admitted to hospital due to heart failure. Thank you for interceding for her as she is recovering well. This would not have happened without your prayers.

Your Daughter.

6. Dearest Mother Mary,

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for interceding for my girlfriend to finish her chemo for breast cancer. Thank you that the side effects of her chemo were bearable and she went through them as well as she could with all the graces from your Son. Thank you for interceding as her cancer genetics test that came back negative. This means her children are not at risk of inheriting her cancer genes and she does not need to go for more surgery.

Your Grateful Daughter.

7. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I asked for your help in July when my friend was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thank you for interceding to your Son, Jesus. His surgery was successful and he is healing and getting better. Keep him cancer free and healthy always.

Your Faithful Daughter.

8. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for all the blessings in my life. I have a new job and have managed to sell my property.

Your Loving Child.

9. Dearest Mother,

My “thank you” to you is disproportionate to the love, guidance and help you have rendered to me as a Mother. Specifically, when I lost my own mother in 2017, I was drawn even closer to you as I had prayed fervently for a good death for my mum. At one Novena, during my anxiety about her passing, I had so clearly heard you say, “I will be your Mother you will not be alone when your mummy is gone”. Through the countless challenges at work and marriage, the numerous business and holiday trips I’ve taken and sicknesses as well as operations I’ve recovered from, you have been there interceding to your Son for me. So, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there. Truly, you are my Perpetual Help, carrying me through all the ups and downs of life.

Your Catholic Daughter.

10. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your love and intercession for all of us. We are really grateful to you for hearing our prayers. No words can express adequately my love and thanks to you.

Your Loving Son.

11. Dearest Mother,

I am writing this thanksgiving letter to say a big thank you for always watching over me and my loved ones.

Your Daughter.
