Thanksgiving – 15 January 2022

1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Succour,

I just received my health screening results. On the whole, they are good and I am writing to thank you for your intercession in giving me this blessing. My blood glucose level was a little higher than before. Thank You for this wake-up call for me to manage my diet better and do more exercise than what I have been doing.

Your Loving Daughter.

2. Dearest Mother Mary of Perpetual Help,

From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank you for your powerful intercession as I battled covid-19 at NCID and was able to make a good recovery in 8 days. I am filled with gratitude for your love and presence throughout as I went through a period of anxiety. I knew that it was only through you and all the prayers of my family that my most beloved Jesus Christ healed me. Thank you very much, Blessed Mother Mary.

Your Loving Child.

3. Dear Mother,

This is a belated thank you letter. I thank you for all your blessings for my son, over the years from the time he was born, his operation, his studies, school, university, being away from home, relationships, medical health, etc. So many difficult trials had come his way and yet they ended with something better than what he or I could ever ask for. I know it’s only through your intercession that this is possible. My waiting and praying for him has culminated with his marriage. Now he is wedded to a lovely girl, and has loving in-laws. Thank you, Mother. I now surrender him and his new family to you.

Your Loving Daughter.

4. Dearest Mother Mary,

This thanksgiving letter is very much overdue from the day I came in 1990. My daughter was one year old and we found a small growth near her ear. Doctors recommended that she needed to go through an operation to have it removed. Being a first-time mum, I was so worried and could not bear to see her going through the pain so I came to you for your intercession and my prayers was answered. She recovered well through a course of antibiotics and the growth subsided. I thank you and your, Son, Jesus for all the blessings and love to my family. In addition, I thank you for your intercession that I had the strength and courage to overcome all obstacles I encountered.

Your Non-Catholic Daughter.

5. Dearest Mother Mary,

I want to thank you for interceding for my friend in her marriage. I came to you to pray for her as she is facing a challenging time in her relationship due to an affair. She is not Catholic but she wanted me to pray for her. Thank you for making me an instrument of your love. She said she found peace and hope after talking to me. She managed to really let go and forgive. Now she is much happier than before and her spouse is a very devoted husband. I know this would not have been possible without your intercession and the Lord’s blessing. My friend said she would like to come to you when it is easier for her to book a Mass. I am so grateful and happy for her. Thank you, Mother for making this possible.

Your Grateful Daughter.

6. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for guiding me through the school term. Ever since I started watching the weekly Novena devotion faithfully and praying the rosary more intentionally, my hard days and worries have always been taken care of down to the smallest detail. I’m sure this was only because of your persistent and loving intercession. It carried me through. Thank you for being the face I turn to in times of fear.

Your Daughter.

7. Dear Blessed Mother,

This is a long overdue letter to you. In late 2019 I was diagnosed with colon cancer and was told that I needed an operation. It may have resulted in me having a stoma bag. My wife and I and many of our friends prayed. I turned to you whom I hardly did because of my early Protestant beliefs. But my wife who had a great devotion to you influenced me greatly to come to you. The operation was so successful that I did not need to have a stoma bag. My journey towards recovery was smooth, and I would like to thank you Mother Mary and seek your perpetual help for all my needs, spiritual and temporal.

Your Loving Son.

8. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

This is a long overdue letter. Thank you for the many years of care and love for bringing me to your Son when I was baptised 40 years ago; for helping me through many challenges I faced in my relationships, career and health. I know that it is through your guidance and intercession that I have received many blessings in my life. Thank You Mother for all your intercession.

Your Daughter.

9. Dearest Mama Mary, my relationship with my boyfriend has been rocky for the last five years. Please bless both of us as we both try to mend our broken relationship.

10. Dearest Mother Mary, I would like to seek you intercession for the healing of my father. He has been diagnosed of thyroid cancer.
