Thanksgiving – 14 July 2018

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

My wife and I will be forever grateful for the greatest gift and blessing that you have given us. We have been married for almost 5 years and we prayed hard to have a baby. We almost lost hope. We believed however in the power of prayer and tried to attend the Novena Devotions. Now, my wife is 8 months pregnant. Thank you so much and I am praying for my wife and the baby. Help her to have a smooth delivery.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for watching over me while I was behind the wheel for the first half of the year. Thank you for blessing my daughter to graduate with a degree before we leave for Arizona. Thank you for giving me the patience that I need to control my temper with the teacher in my son’s school. Thank you for watching over my son and for keeping him safe and away from trouble in school. Lastly, thank you for all the blessings that you have showered upon the whole family.

  1. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for protecting me and my family for the past 15 years and especially in the past 8 months:

You shielded me from physical injury in a major and traumatic car accident. The trauma caused me to give up driving and I prayed for a home where I can walk to Church for my daily Mass. You provided me an ideal flat. This flat is now under renovation. Please protect the workers and guide them to do a good job. I have to sell my current home, please send me a good buyer so that I can get some funds to see me through life until the time I am called back HOME to the Lord and to be with you, my dearest Mother. My eternal gratitude to you.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

My husband and I are celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary on 8 July. I would like to thank you for being there for us always. You have been our solace and guided us in whatever we do. I am very thankful that I am blessed with a loving husband who is a fantastic father to our 2 handsome boys. 25 years ago, Mother, I came to you seeking your prayers and intercession when I had problem conceiving. I vividly remember attending the 9 Novenas in 1992 and writing my petition to you weekly. Before the end of the 9th Novena, I had conceived and I knew then I was blessed with a miracle from you. You blessed me with another son within a year of giving birth to my first one. It is always with great pride that I tell people that my first born is a blessing from you and I felt touched by your power. With your prayers and intercession, my 2 sons are now 25 and 24 years old respectively. They have recently started on their careers and once again with your Son’s grace and protection, they are doing well. One has graduated with first class honours in engineering and the other is doing well in his MBBS. Mother, all these would not have been possible without your prayers and intercession to your Son. Mother, please continue to bless my family and embrace us with your Motherly love. I am forever grateful to you. I pray that my family will continue to experience your love and mercy.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I would like to give my utmost thanks to you for prompting and guiding me to put aside my pride and anger against my estranged father and to reach out to him to seek his forgiveness and reason with him to put our differences behind us for the peace of the family. This pain has been the deepest regret of my life and I can never thank you enough for the grace that you have bestowed upon me and my family. I have prayed for many years and now your grace has prevailed! Though I have been jobless for almost 2 years, this joy of reconciliation you have blessed us with is a light in my darkest hour. Thank you very much once again.

Your Faithful Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

11 years ago, when my son was 35, we discovered that he had a cancerous tumour in his brain. It was so deeply embedded that surgery would likely cause irreparable damage to his brain function that will affect his movement, speech and mental capabilities and in the worst case, death. Doctors gave him 6 months to live. Meanwhile, he was suffering.

As parents, we were devastated and we stormed heaven for help. We came to your shrine to pray. My son’s faith in God was so strong and he prayed hard for God to save him. He knew that God would help him and he decided not to go through surgery.

God miraculously dissolved the tumour and we are sure that it was through your intercession, Mother Mary. The disappearance of the cancerous tumour naturally surprised his doctors who attributed this to the work of God. My son has led a normal life for 11 years until 4 months ago when he had a seizure that caused him to have a stroke. Doctors however declared that he did not have any tumour nor did he suffer a stroke after thorough investigations.

He was hospitalized for 3 months and had to undergo intensive physiotherapy to train him to walk, speak and move the affected limbs on the right side of his body. He has been discharged from hospital but is still undergoing physiotherapy. He is now recovering very well, he can speak, walk and move the affected limbs but still not quite able to write properly yet. We are confident that he will be able to write properly soon with God’s help.

Your Loving Children.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

3 years ago, I had written a thank you letter for your intercession in answering my prayer. Today, I would like to thank you again for always helping and guiding me whenever I am at a loss. Since it is my 71st birthday this 8th July, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, my Mother.

Lately, my husband too had some health issues. I brought him to your shrine to seek your intercession. He had just completed his 9 weeks at the Novena and received favourable news after having gone through all the scans and tests. Please continue to intercede for him through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ!
