Thanksgiving – 13 January 2024

1. Dear Mother Mary,

I have always believed that miracles happen and on Christmas day I witnessed the grace of Our Lord this Christmas. My son who has been estranged from me for five months returned on Christmas day. God’s timing is indeed beautiful and perfect. My prayers have been answered unexpectedly. I am lost for words and I am so grateful that I could have my son in my arms again. He has finally opened his heart that he knows that I am only a mother who wants to protect her baby boy with all my heart. Our journey ahead is still long, but now that I have both my children walking with me, I am confident that God is with us. Because of your prayer Mother, I shall not fear the bumpy road ahead, because I know God will always protect us, keep us safe, and give us strength. Dearest Mother Mary, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your intercession.

Your Daughter.

2. Dearest Mother,

I just want to make it short and sweet and say a massive thank you for all your intercession to our Lord for blessing us with a beautiful baby girl. We waited 8 years for our little bundle of joy to finally arrive into this world, for us to hold her and shower her with unconditional love. No amount of words can describe the joy we felt when we first held her in our arms. So from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you dearest Mother for your intercession.

Your loving Daughter.

3. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for being with me and my family in 2023. At the beginning of last year, my family encountered a difficult moment. My mother’s health condition worsened. Because of your intercession, my mother has completed her chemotherapy cycle and we’re ending 2023 on a more positive note than we started. My grandfather who suffered a stroke has also recently been able to start walking again. All thanks to your prayers. It has been tough for me as a caregiver, too, but I have been able to find joy even in my difficulties. My faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, has grown through all the things I encountered. I feel God’s presence and guidance in my life. Thank you for always praying for us Mother Mary.

Your Grateful Daughter.

4. Dear Mother Mary,

2023 has been a roller coaster ride for me. From the high of passing my specialist exam to the low of being diagnosed with lung cancer. Nonetheless, I would like to thank you, Mother Mary, and our Lord Jesus Christ, for guiding me and protecting me throughout this ordeal. I would never have been able to go through the surgery and complete the chemotherapy without the blessing, love and protection from you, Mother Mary and your Son, Jesus. This ordeal has brought me closer to Christ and I will continue to worship Him. While I am still fighting with my cancer and the battle is not over, I believe that Jesus will always walk beside me and guide me along as he has always done. I will learn not to stress so much about my condition as Jesus is in control and I trust him faithfully with all my heart. Thank you so much for love limitless love.

Your Faithful Son.

5. Dear Mother Mary,

I am very grateful to you for guiding me, a former anti-Christian (because of my myopic negative impressions of Christians). However, since April 1998 when I attended my first Novena session with my girlfriend (now my wife) at the old Novena Church. I experienced a great sense of peace, marking the start of my weekly Novena attendance at your shrine. You dissolved the anti-Christian sentiments in me and patiently led me to your Son, culminating in my baptism. Thank you for your Motherly love and praise the Lord for showering me with many blessings: a kind and beautiful wife, two wonderful God-loving daughters, great siblings, a good career, financial stability and good colleagues. Please help me to always remember to give thanks to the Lord and to strive to always put Him first in whatever I undertake.

Your Undeserving Child.

6. Dearest Mother Mary,

There are so many things to be thankful for in the past year. I’ve been reflecting on the moments of grace, love, and new milestones that you and your Son, have journeyed with me. It was a year of heartbreak for me, but through your intercession, I can peacefully say that I am leaving 2023 as a stronger, more mature and more prayerful person. I thank you for seeing me through that emotional period, and even as the healing process continues, you are consistently interceding for me. I look forward to what 2024 has for me, and may I always remember that with your most powerful Rosary, I am never alone and may I always trust in your prayers. Thank You Mother.

Your Loving Child.

7. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

This thanksgiving letter is long overdue and I sincerely apologize as I was going through many unforeseen circumstances in my life. Since my early years, you had always been my guide and protector. You have seen me through good times and bad times and never ceased to guide me. A miracle recovery from a heart bypass, a turbulent marriage and family life, challenges in my career and good advice in my decision making me what I am today, after 62 years. Every time I come to the Novena Church, I leave all my worries behind with you as I know you will assist me to overcome these difficulties and you have never failed me. I am going to continue through 2024 and I await the many challenges that will confront me but I know you will be there for me. Thank you, Mother.

Your Faithful Son.
