Thanksgiving – 13 August 2022

1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for our miracle. Our unexpected baby boy was born 12 years after our firstborn son. And after you healed my body from a surgery in 2017. Please intercede for my non-believing husband and as I consecrate my family to your maternal loving care.

Your Grateful Daughter.

2. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for your intercession. My marriage has gotten better and my husband now comes home not as late as before. He now spends more time at home and talks to me more. I am now more mindful of my negative behaviour and am making progress to improve.

Your Beloved Daughter.

3. Dearest Mother Mary,

I thank you for interceding all these years in my insurance career. It has provided me with the opportunity to provide for my parents and others in the family and also given me the opportunity to lead a financially stable life, have a secure home and a healthy lifestyle. I am still working and seek your continued assistance. This letter is long overdue for all your intercession, blessings and guidance throughout my life.

Your Catholic Son.

4. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I started going to Novena Church in 1957 at the age of 17. My life was not a rosy one during my younger days as I went through many trials and tribulations. The only place I could find refuge was at Novena Church, where I placed all my problems in your hands, my Blessed Mother, and asked you to intercede to your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, you have been a great mother to me all these years and you have never failed to answer my prayers. Thank you, dearest Mother Mary, I love you.

Your Forever Grateful Daughter.

5. Dearest Mother Mary,

My thanksgiving to you is long overdue. I prayed earnestly to you to find a job that would be suitable for me. It was in 2019 and my job at that time was very difficult and highly demanding. I decided to look for jobs within the company and outside the company. I went for a number of interviews and all were not successful. I had almost decided to resign and become a Grab driver for a while, but in the 1st quarter of 2020 Covid was fast spreading throughout the world. Nevertheless, at the end of March, I went for one last interview before calling it a day. The interview went smoothly and before Easter, I received the good news from the manager that I was offered a position. I was really at a lost and at the last moment, Mother Mary, you answered my prayer by providing me this job. I am really grateful and thankful to you.

Your Loving Son.

6. Dear Mother Mary,

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my son to pass his basic driving theory test. I had written twice over last 2 weeks, seeking you and Jesus to accompany him to take his second attempt basic driving theory test and guide him so that he will pass the test this time. I was told by him the following day that he passed the test. Once again, thank you Mother for your blessings and guidance.

Your Catholic Son.

7. Dearest Mother Mary of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for your intercession to our Lord Jesus Christ for the benign mammogram result of a close family friend who took the opportunity of home leave to do the test before flying back to an overseas mission.

Your Catholic Child.

8. Dearest Mother,

I came to you on Saturday to ask for your intercession to help me look for my lost thumbdrive which contained many important documents. I’d been frantically searching everywhere since Friday morning. On Sunday evening, my thumbdrive was miraculously found in the oddest place, in the washing machine! I must have mindlessly placed it in my pocket and then washed my clothes. Thankfully, the thumbdrive is still usable. What a relief it was! Thank you, Mother Mary, for answering my prayers. Your Ever – Grateful Daughter.

9. Dearest Mother, I had been coming to Novena Church for the past 20 years. I heard your call last year and joined the RCIA. With your blessing, I was baptised. Please continue to shower my family and me with your love.

Your Catholic Son.

10. Dearest Mother Mary of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for your intercession through the past two weeks. I tested positive for Covid-19 and the self-isolation was a really trying period for myself and my family. I was very worried and upset as I continued to test positive, even after the 9th day, with the viral load not seeming to lessen. I continued to turn to you and your Son, Jesus, in prayer each day during this period. On the 10th day, I tested negative and have continued to test negative in the days after. Thank you, Mother Mary, for your care and intercession for me and my family during this time.

Your Devoted Child.

11. Dearest Mother,

My mother was hospitalised 3 weeks ago for breathing problems and agonising pains. The doctors diagnosed her with water in the lungs and her heart function dropped to 30% from her usual 60% which was “normal” for her age of 95. After 8 days of medical treatment and medication, she was well enough to come home but was not out of woods yet. I cried out to you Holy Mother to relieve my mother from her weak state, ease her bodily pains and restore her to health. She was groaning from these pains and struggling with breathlessness. God heard your intercession and miraculously my mother’s condition turned better. With God’s grace, my mother continued to recover and she is almost her usual self today. How can I ever thank you enough, Mother and Jesus for answering my prayers that my mother be able to live healthily and happily in the last stage of her life on earth where she has selflessly cared for all 4 generations of her family for almost a century. Thank you, Holy Mother and Jesus for your providence which made my mother’s recovery possible.

Your Catholic Family.

12. Dearest Mother Mary,

I would like to thank you for your intercession to Jesus for my uncle. His medical results have no other complications that we need to fear.

Your Loving Daughter.

13. Dearest Mother Mary of Perpetual Help,

We thank you for giving my non-Catholic mother-in-law a peaceful death after suffering from dementia, cancer and bed sores for a few years. We were relieved to be able to be with her on her death bed as she passed on peacefully.

Your Catholic Son & Daughter.

14. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for praying for and with me and for interceding for me to the Lord our God. I have 2 more chemotherapy sessions to go through and my CT scan results show that my cancer cells have shrunk. Thank you, Mother Mary once again, for always gently reminding me to pray the rosary and to listen to the Word of God.

Your Faithful Daughter.
