I must apologise for the delay in submitting my thanksgiving letter. Last October, my husband was admitted to the hospital for a chest infection and pains. After 10 days in the hospital, they found out that he had a blockage of 99% in his artery and had to go for surgery immediately. I came to you, Mother, and prayed. And my prayers were answered. He has recovered since and everything is back to normal for him. Thank you, Mother. You have helped me in all my troubles and pains.
Your Daughter.
2. Dearest Mother,
Thank you for praying for my mother in her time of need. She is recovering well after a major surgery where there was a mysterious “Growth”. Doctors have safely removed it and now she is feeling much better and recovering. It was a successful surgery according to the doctor. Thank you for your intercession and the team of doctors and surgeons who made the operation a success. Thank you, dearest Mother Mary.
Your Thankful Child.
3. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,
I suffered a painful attack of knee osteoarthritis about 10 months ago while visiting Singapore. Subsequently, I wrote a petition imploring your intercession and my condition slowly improved over time as I went for physiotherapy sessions. Although doctors have informed me there will be no complete cure, I am feeling much better now. Thank you, Mother, for your help and intercession.
Your Catholic Son.
4. Dear Mother Mary,
I would like to thank you for introducing me to a wonderful partner, whom I have been admiring in church for a long time. Our first conversation was at your grotto and we made it a habit to pray together after Mass for continued blessings. He is truly God sent and I am very thankful.
Your Loving Daughter.
5. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,
It has been a week since my 89-year-old father came back from Novena Devotion, he took a shower and then started vomiting. The ambulance brought him to the hospital and they told us he had suffered a stroke. The damaged in his right brain will not allow him to process what his eyes see on the left. He had been very mobile and enjoyed his independence and freedom, but from now on, he needs full time supervision. But dearest Mother, we have so many reasons to be grateful to you. We want to thank you for taking care of him. He only had the nausea after he came home and got out of the bathroom. We want to thank you that he is still able to speak and even pray the rosary with us, he even remembers the mysteries of the rosary and all the prayers that he says every day. We want to thank you that he is still able to see a little and recognize us and even remember our contact numbers. Thank you for your love and protection over my father.
Your Grateful Child.
6. Dearest Mother,
Thank you for interceding for me for the conversion of my husband to the Catholic faith. After 30 years of praying for his conversion, my husband is now baptized. No words can express my joy at his baptism. Thank you most loving Mother for praying for us and with us.
Your Loving Daughter.
7. Dear Mother,
I am grateful for your prayers for helping me persevere during my challenging moments sitting for my “A” Levels and for helping me to secure my desired course in NUS. Thank you for always showing me love and providing support during this nerve-wrecking and stressful period. I thank you for all the opportunities you have given me.
Your Grateful Daughter.
8. Dear Mother Mary,
Thank you for being there when there was no one at my side. My faith in you and your Son, our Lord, is unwavering no matter how disturbing life is. Thank you for your love, hope, help and care.
Your Child.
9. Dear Mother,
I was feeling suffocated and stressed at work. I didn’t know how to make things right in my life and I was feeling so miserable every day. I came to you and prayed for your intercession asking for direction. Today I was given the most wonderful news that I am given the opportunity to pursue a different career path and I broke down with joy. My prayers are answered. Thank you for showering your blessings upon me.
Your Loving Child.
10. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,
I wrote a petition to you two weeks ago to intercede for my nephew’s wife who was going for a spine operation. Her operation was a success and she was able to get up and walk the very next day. She is also in less pain now. Thank you so much for your intercession.
Your Ever-Grateful Daughter.
11. Dearest Mother Mary,
A routine morning drive to work almost turned into a fatal accident when my car suddenly spun completely out of control. It spun round several times as it was tossed about across 4 lanes on the PIE during peak hour traffic. By the mercy of God, the protection of my guardian angel and your maternal love, I walked out of my car as if nothing happened. Not 1 scratch on me or the vehicle, no one was hurt, no other car was damaged. I have no explanation why this was so when it should have been a major and even fatal accident. God spared me that day because of you Mother, who protected me and interceded for me and I was saved. And for that I praise and glorify God and you Blessed Mother with my heartfelt gratitude.
