Thanksgiving – 1 February 2025

1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I praise and thank God that through your intercession, God has heard my prayer. I have been praying for my teenage grandson for months that God will take control of his temperament, as he has ADHD. He loses his temper easily and would scream and shout. Then last year, we noticed that his behaviour had started to change. He has become more gentle, kind and polite, and realises that his behaviour in the past was rude. I thank God that he did well in his studies and has started attending Mass. All praise and glory be to God for all the wonders He has done and for all His blessings.

Your Loving Daughter.

2. Dearest Mother Mary,

I began to attend weekly Novena services since the day my eldest son finished his last paper for ‘O’ Levels. Thank you so much for your intercession. He has done well for his exams, especially in those subjects that he had never been able to excel. His results should get him into the school and subjects that he likes. Thank you for your prayers, and for your love showered upon him.

Your Loving Son.

3. Dear Mother,

17th January marked exactly 1 year since we relocated to the UK. We had no friends or relatives here and we struggled initially, seemingly alone in the dark and cold climate. We have had a lot to be grateful for, and we realise that we were never alone. You were with us, guiding us throughout. We have developed a small supportive circle of friends and our 11-years old daughter is doing well in a phenomenal Catholic School. Once again, a whole-hearted thank you for all your prayers.

Your Grateful Son.

4. Dearest Mother Mary,

I prayed earnestly for my son working overseas, whose mean boss was making his life difficult at work. Dear Mother, my son just informed me that this boss has resigned seeking early retirement. My son was in the process of seeking alternative employment, and now has so much peace of mind. Dear Mother, words are not enough, yet a million times ‘thank you’ to Jesus and you.

Your Grateful Child.

5. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for interceding for the opportunity to bring my mother to Singapore during the Christmas holidays. It was her first flight and first travel experience. I was happy to see her enjoying our visit to different tourist spots. I was also able to show her my home, where I work, and give her a glimpse of my daily life. My mother is already a senior, I pray that she continues to be healthy and strong so I can travel more with her. She has sacrificed a lot for our family and she deserves a happy and comfortable retirement.

Your Loving Daughter.

6. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

My sincere regret for this long overdue thanksgiving letter. I want to thank you and our Lord for the blessings He has showered on my family and me in 2024! We have been blessed with a happy family life and appreciate the relationships we have with each other., We are able to be genuine and sincere with each other and share our innermost anxieties and joys! We have also been blessed with a comfortable life, and we especially thank God for the career opportunities, and the successes we enjoyed at school and work in 2024! We want to thank the Lord especially for the wonderful family time we recently enjoyed during the Christmas and New Year period!

Your Ever-Loving Grateful Son.

Thank you for comforting my mother during her PET scan and for the clear results today, showing no cancer or spread to other parts of her body.
