Thank you for being with my family and protecting us throughout our lives. I have been attending Novena for over 20 years and I have always felt a sense of being loved whenever I attended Novena. Thank you for healing my brother-in-law of an “unknown” illness 18 years ago. He has since been living a normal life and has 2 teenaged boys. Thank you for these “miracles” which we had not expected when he was first diagnosed. Thank you for watching over my 81 year old mother who lives alone. Mother Mary, I know you have been watching over her especially when you “cushioned” her bad falls the last few years. She recovered quite fast because of your protection. Please continue to watch over my family, friends and the church.

Thanking you a million times will not be enough for the love you have bestowed on us. I am always amazed by your love and your intervention in our lives. I want to thank you for my 2 lovely teenaged children. They are really the greatest blessings in my life. Since the new Novena Church has opened, my teenage son has made a commitment to attend the devotion with his sister and I am very pleased to see my children growing up in your Son’s teachings. This would not possible without your love and care for us.

6. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,
It has been many years since my first thanksgiving letter to you. Thank you for your intercession and our Lord’s blessings over the course of my 59 years of life. I remembered seeking your prayers and intercession for my sister to have a son after my niece was born. God granted her a son ten years later. Still, I was grateful. Then I lost my job of seventeen years and the Lord blessed me with another job 9 months later. Recently, I had symptoms of stroke. I desperately sought your intercession and my prayers were heard.The doctor diagnosed my condition as a viral infection on my facial nerves. With medication, accupuncture and unceasing prayers, my condition improved. Words cannot express my heartfelt thanks. Thank you Mother for your constant care and intercession and thanks be to our Lord, Jesus, for never failing to come to my aid.

7. Dearest Mother,
When the church opened on the 29th of September 2017, I was one of those who managed to come into the church hall. I sat on the cold floor where the altar platform of the old church was. What an awesome feeling it was. The main reason was that I am a stage 4 cancer patient and am still around after 5 years. I was unsure if I could actually live to see the completion of the new church when it closed for renovation in 2014. I started my medical journey in this church since 2012. This is the church where I will visit before each major operation. I felt comfort and serenity each time. You gave me the confidence to lay aside all my fears and concerns. Each time, I entered the operating theatre I had the assurance that God was in charge of the whole operating team. And I was in good hands. I live a good healthy life now, I do not fail to visit your shrine weekly. Dear Mother of Mercy, I just pray for your constant intercession for my family as we carry the cross of our burdens each day. May we continue to place our trust and hope in you and your Son in whatever we do. May this church hold its vision of being a place of Prayer and Peace, Healing and Hope and Life and Love for everyone forever.

8. Dearest Mother Mary,
I have always wanted to climb up Apparation Hill in Medjugorje. I managed to do it 2 weeks ago during my pilgrimage. Although I had much difficulty and fell 3 times, I was not injured though I am a 70 year old lady. I know it is through your intercession and protection and the grace of God that I could accomplish my ‘mission’. I came back with swollen knees and foot but it is slowly healing now. Mother, continue to look after me as I live alone. I really want to thank you for all these years.

10. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,
This letter was not delivered to you for more than 16 years not because it was lost in mail rather it’s because I did not take time to show my gratitude for all you have given me in my life. Last weekend was a great reminder, out of the ten only one leper returned to say thanks.
You have been there for the last 54 years of my life guiding me to ensure that I fulfill my potential. You have saved me from so many dangers and have given me so many chances not even my birth mother would have given. Somethings that I cannot explain, but they happened in my life and I am thankful for them:
– When I was in the midst of our difficult relationship, you helped us reconcile.
– When my wife became pregnant with our 3rd child after we were told that she could not have another child.
– When the doctor told us that our baby will be abnormal and my wife delivered a normal baby boy who is now 16 years old.
– In our darkest moment of our lives, the house that we lived was enbloced and you made us millionaires overnight.
– You taught me humility when I lost most of our money in the stock market and got into debts again because of greed.
I am grateful that I did not stop coming to you. I pray that you will help me face life with confidence and have the comfort knowing that you will be there for me.
