With a heart full of gratitude, I offer my humble thanksgiving for your loving intercession to God. While attending the Novena Devotion, I placed before you a deeply personal petition: that I might be granted a BTO flat at Mt Pleasant, so that in my later years I would be able to live nearer to Novena Church, and remain close to the sacraments, prayer, and the spiritual home that has sustained me for so many years in my younger days. Trusting in your maternal care, I persevered in prayer and attended the Novena services week after week at OLPS. After just eight weeks, my prayers were answered. I received a queue position that is within the flat supply on offer – an outcome that I know was through your powerful intercession and God’s generous mercy. Thank you, dear Mother, for listening to my prayers, for understanding the desires of my heart, and for always leading me closer to your Son, Jesus Christ. This answered prayer has strengthened my faith and renewed my trust in your constant presence in my life. I offer this thanksgiving with a promise to continue walking in faith, to remain devoted to prayer, and to place my future always in God’s hands through you. Our Mother of Perpetual Succour, pray for us. With gratitude and filial love.
2. Dearest Mother Mary,
Jan 27 marked my 35th wedding anniversary. Coming from a Taoist family, I was a non-Catholic when I got married. Through the grace of God, I enrolled for RCIA and was baptised a year later. I believe my husband is an instrument of God, bringing me to know God and Mother Mary. We have been blessed with two beautiful children. Thank you, Mother, for your intercession all these years. Please continue to watch over my family.

3. Thank you, dearest Mother, for blessing me with a job. Though way lower pay grade than what I’m entitled to, I’m grateful that I have a place to work after a 2-year struggle of finding a job. I hope that I can use this opportunity to learn and grow as much as I can to gain the most experience and exposure. Please always keep me close to you, I need the support and guidance on days that are tough.
Your dearest daughter
4. Dearest Mother Mary,
Thank you so much for the greatest gifts to our families as my eldest daughter and daughter-in-law are pregnant. Please help both of them to have smooth and safe pregnancies. We are all very thankful to receive the precious gift from you. Not forgetting with your help as my mum is recovery from her fall Thank you so much Mother Mary.

5. Dearest Mother Mary,
You have always been my guiding light, and especially since these past few years. I sought your intercession to conceive a healthy child, and in June 2024, we were blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Thank you, dearest mother, I know it was your prayers and intercession to Jesus that we were blessed with this miracle. I have been a stay-at-home mum since my daughter’s birth, but since 2025, I have been looking for a job as I needed to back to work. No matter how many job applications I submitted, I almost never heard back and when I did, it was to let me know that I had been unsuccessful. I re-connected with past colleagues and friends in the hope of getting my ‘foot in the front door’ but to no avail. I prayed the Novena devotion, seeking your intercession and guidance, to discern God’s will whether I was meant to go back to work (or not), and, if not, that we would manage financially somehow. We finished our Novena cycle in October 2024. In the beginning of January 2026, I got a call from the HR of a company to attend an interview. Everything went smoothly and quickly, and I was offered the job! I started work on 2 February. Thank you, Mother Mary, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for your prayers, for this opportunity, for your guidance, and for always being by my side. Thank you, Jesus and Mother Mary, for everything you have blessed me with, and for all that you continue to bless me and family with.
6. Dearest Mother,
My wife is about to start work next week after nearly 2 years away from the office. During this time, we have been blessed with an incredible daughter. We are also in the process of buying a house, which we hope to turn into a home for our family. We know that you will continue to guide us to do our best as working parents, to care for and to raise our daughter well. We are eternally grateful for all the blessings and miracles in our lives. Thank you for your prayers and intercessions, dearest Mother.
Your grateful son
7. Dearest Mother Mary,
Thank you and my Lord Jesus for enlightening me last night. I was bitter, financially cash trapped, jobless, despite trying very hard to secure a job and lonely. I was very blasphemous and blamed God for his rejection, and I thought, why did God leave me to be a lost sheep? Where is the Good Shepherd? Suddenly, God enlightened, and I felt so blessed, humbled. Thank you for your intervention and mercies.
Your grateful daughter.
8. Dearest Mother Mary,
Writing a Thanksgiving letter is not something I’d envisage doing after decades of attending Novena. All these years I’ve been more of a spectator or bystander than an active attendee. I’m glad to leave my procrastination habit behind and make the effort to write this letter after some recent “mishaps” happened in my life and the resultant outcomes impels me to be grateful to God. In the space of 6 months, I had undergone 2 medical operations and had a bad fall that seriously impacted my knee. The timing of the operations (one of which was an emergency) made me reflect that all these did not happen by chance. While hosting an overseas relatives’ visit, I had an excruciating pain near my groin. I tried to put up with the pain but to no avail. My guests then had to be my driver and personal assistant, driving me from the GP to the hospital. During my hospital stay, the guests stayed at my house for about a week and attended to our needs. Through it all, I cannot help but realize that it is divine help that my operation happened during my guests’ visit. My wife would have been hard put to see to my incident. God sent His angels to assist us. Mother, l know it is through your intercession that Jesus helped us through our ordeal and made everything possible. For this very reason, I must show my utmost gratitude to Jesus and you. Hence, this long overdue Thanksgiving letter. Thank you, Jesus and Mother Mary!
