Thanksgiving – 2 August 2025

1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for being there with me in the past academic year. Though I had many ups and downs, you were always there with me. And through the Lord’s grace, I did well. I pray that you will be with me for the remaining years of my studies and beyond.

Your faithful son.

2. Dear God and Our Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for answering my prayer. I am now confirmed after probation. Thank you for giving me more opportunity to improve myself. May you always guide me and my family.

Your grateful daughter.

3. Dear Mother Mary,

We would like to offer you thanksgiving for your intercession in finding our new home. It has been 5 years of waiting and finally we got our new home last week. This blessing is not possible without your prayer, and we thank God for this abundant blessing.

4. Dearest Mama Mary,

Thank you for interceding for me to our Lord Jesus Christ. My ultrasound and mammogram tests went well. The results were normal. I praise and thank God for his blessings.

Your loving daughter

5. Dear Mother Mary,

I would like to express my deepest and sincere thanks to you and your Son for blessing me with all the highs and lows through these 55 years. Though at times I strayed and sinned, I felt your presence, guidance and protection. The memory of attending Novena services at the previous church is still fresh in my mind and this has been a bedrock in my faith journey. Please continue to watch over my family and loved ones. Protect them from harm, and keep them by your side. Thank you from the depths of my being.

Love, Your unworthy son

6. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for your intercessory prayers. My mother was given a clean bill of health from the latest blood and urine test results. Also, she had been healed of rashes and hearing issues completely. This is made possible by your unfailing love for us all.

Your ever-grateful children

7. Dear Mother,

I want to thank you for your intercessions for me and my husband. Earlier this year, I found out that my husband was having an affair with a work colleague. I turned to you to intercede for me in showing me the path forward. Mother, whenever I felt that things were so difficult, your prayers kept me moving forward. My husband has ended the affair and started going back to church and attending mass again, and we are trying to work things out. I know that because of you and the love of your son Jesus Christ, we are able to move forward. Thank you, Dearest Mother.

8. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

As I get ready to marry my partner in the Catholic Church next Saturday, I would like to thank Jesus and you for the countless blessings I have received throughout my life. Whenever things seemed bleak, you always interceded for me, and provided comfort and the quiet strength to push forward. Years ago, when I visited St Peter’s Basilica, I prayed that if it was the Lord’s will, that I would find a good partner with whom to grow in love and faith. In God’s perfect timing, I met my partner who happened to be a Catholic; and years later, here we are a week before our wedding. Mother, you have been journeying with me through all the seasons of my life – thank you for interceding to our Lord Jesus for all the countless blessings, for my family who have been my biggest support and strength, and for friends and people in my life who have helped me through difficult times. Mother, as I embark on a new chapter of my life next week, I ask that you continue interceding for me and my family, that you continue guiding us through a life of holiness and faith. Thank you, my dearest Mother.

Your faithful daughter.

9. Dear Mother,

This Thanksgiving letter is way overdue. We always ask but often do not show gratitude. I had prayed to you to intercede to Jesus for my brother Francis’ surgery for his prostate cancer. The operation was a success and so far, the tests have shown that he is free of cancer cells. Thank you, Mother Mary and Jesus, for your mercy. Please continue to show mercy to him. Also grant him and his family your grace for them to return to the church. They have not been going to church for many years and my brother has many issues that he can’t come to terms with concerning the church. Please help him to see the light. I had also prayed and asked you to bless our trip to Northern Spain and Southern France. You have blessed and given us a safe trip and sent many angels to help us. Thank you, Mother and Jesus, for the blessings. Thank you again Mother and Jesus. Please continue to bless us. Journey with us to the end of our lives. Amen.

10. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for all your intercessions for marriage. With your prayer sweet Mother, my husband and I were able to find a forgiveness and compassion for each other. We are now slowly growing closer again and our family is healing with prayer. Please continue to pray for me and my family and ask for grace from God and strengthen my faith.

Your loving daughter

11. Dearest Mother Mary,

Words cannot express my deep-felt gratitude to you and your beloved son, our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank you, Mother Mary, for loving me unconditionally and for always being there for me in my life, especially in my darkest moments when I felt so afraid, so lost and so helpless. You gave me love, strength, courage and comfort. In those difficult moments, I could feel your presence strongly giving me love, peace and comfort, assuring me that I am not alone. You send me Angels to give me strength to continue to keep my faith and trust in God. In late Dec last year (just after Christmas), my husband suffered an aneurysm and underwent surgery to stop the bleeding in the brain. 3 days later he had to undergo a 2nd surgery to drain off the fluid accumulated in the brain and subsequently a 3rd surgery. He spent almost 6 months in hospital (General Hospital for all the (3) surgeries and Community Hospital for his rehabilitation). During these months of darkness and despair I didn’t know what to do except to pray the rosary pleading for your intercession and prayers and pray for God’s love and mercy to save and heal my husband. Mother Mary I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for answering my prayers and petitions and I thank Jesus for being there with my husband for all his (3) surgeries guiding the surgeon and his team to perform a safe and successful surgery and blessing him with a speedy recovery. I thank GOD for his love, mercy and healing grace. My husband is now discharged and is recovering well at home, focusing on a full recovery so that he can return to church to serve. Mother Mary all this will not be possible if not for your continued prayers and intercessions and without Jesus’ love, mercy and healing grace. Thank you, Mother Mary, and thank you Lord Jesus. I love you Mother Mary and I love you Jesus.
