Thanksgiving – 15 March 2025

1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I was introduced to you in 1977 by a Catholic, while working at the textile factory in Johor, Malaysia. At that time my life was at its lowest point as I failed to pursue my studies further. Since coming to know you, you have become my source of consolation. You helped me to enter a Polytechnic in Ipoh to do my Diploma in Accountancy in 1978. The Redemptorist Church in Ipoh was nearby and the Redemptorist priests sowed in me a strong devotion for you. With your help, I was then blessed with a Scholarship for my Diploma and Degree courses in Accounting. My young family and I emigrated to Australia in 2004, and we placed ourselves under your maternal care. With your help, I managed to be a certified accountant in Australia.  In 2009, in front of my 2 young daughters, I was bashed up by 2 youngsters demanding money. My wife and daughters went to you for help again. A few years later, my wife asked to be received into the Catholic Church. God raised me up from my poor background as a son of a rubber tapper to a Chartered and a Certified Public Accountant. Currently, I am 65 years old and retired from active working life. I am ever grateful to you my dearest Mother Mary, and to God.

2. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for your intercession. When I came to you for help, my unborn daughter was diagnosed with a duplex kidney. When she was born, the doctors found that it was less serious, but that she would still require surgery. Through your unwavering love and God’s grace, her kidney has miraculously improved.  Through this process, I have also experienced a conversion of heart, that led me to make my first confession in 10 years and finally be able to be in communion with God again. I pray for the strength to be a good father and role model in raising my two daughters to be faithful servants of Christ.

3. Half a year ago, I was told by the doctor that I had to undergo surgery again as my fibroids had grown bigger. Strangely, i wasn’t worried and scared. When I went back for a review, it had shrunk a little and the doctor mentioned that there wasn’t a need for surgery yet.  I know this would not have happened without God’s help. Thank you, Jesus and Mother Mary, for keeping me under your care.

4. Dear Merciful Mother of our Lord Jesus,

Words cannot express our joy and gratefulness. I give thanks for my husband’s successful surgery; For my daughter’s successful interview and for the offer letter; For my son‘s safe return, and for interview opportunities; For healing me from my recent flu; For keeping us in faith, hope and trust in your prayers. Please continue to pray for us and with us in Jesus’ name.

5. Dearest Blessed Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you so much for your intercession and prayers for a smooth blood transfusion I had on Monday, 24 February 2025. It took almost 7 hours for the blood transfusion to be completed at the hospital and there were no complications nor side effects. Thank you also for the caring and committed nurses who attended to me during the blood transfusion. My haemoglobin increased from 6.2 to 10.5 and I was feeling well again the next day. Thank you, once again, for your intercession and prayers.

6. Dearest Mother,

My wife’s brain tumour was expected to be an aggressive one back in Dec’24, with a very poor prognosis. Since then, scans have indicated it to be less aggressive, which potentially gives her a longer life expectancy and hope for a miracle cure. Thank you, for interceding to Jesus for us, and for the gift of more time with her.

7. Dear Mother Mary,

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for interceding and helping my son and me to get jobs. We have been praying so hard, and our Lord Jesus has worked wonders. It even brought my son back to church. The Lord really works in mysterious ways. Thank you, my dearest Mother.

8. Dearest Mother,

I give thanks and praise to God for answering my prayer. After the CT scan, they found nothing wrong with my heart, despite the ECG showing otherwise. I know this is through your intercession. Thank you, dearest Mother ❤️.
