Thanksgiving – 19 October 2024

1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for praying for my sister. Her earthly struggles are over and she is safe in the arms of Jesus. Please pray for the repose of her soul. Thank you, Mother.

2. Dear Mother,

Thank you very much for the gift of lovely doctors and nurses who helped me through my first chemotherapy session. Thank you, Mother, for being there with me every moment, especially when I cried out to you in fear and pain.

Love, your daughter.

3. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

I thank you for your intercession. My niece has conceived after being married for a few years, and is past the age of 40. Thank you again, Mother Mary, for your powerful intercession.

Your Grateful Daughter.

4. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for interceding for me during my PSLE. By the grace of God, I found all the papers easy. Thank you for guiding me even when I got stuck or confused by some questions. Thank you, Mother.

Your Daughter.

5. Dear Mother,

We thank you for protecting and guiding our daughter through her PSLE. She persevered during the preparation and went through the papers confidently. We continue to pray that we will make the right decision whether to accept her DSA offers or to use her PSLE grades to apply for the Secondary School which is her first choice. Above all, we pray for wisdom to make the right choices for her personal and academic growth.

Your Son and Daughter.

6. Mother,

I thank God for blessing me with beautiful, amazing and loving parents and an incredible aunt. May He bless them with the best of health and keep them close to Him always. May I have the opportunity to thank them and repay them for all they have done for me.

Your Daughter.

7. Dearest Mother,

My heartfelt thanks to you for bringing my non-Catholic friend closer to your Son Jesus. Mother, he started to ask questions about the Catholic faith, then he came to church, he placed flowers at your shrine and now is starting to say short prayers. Mother, please continue to watch over him and guide him in his journey of faith. Thank you, Mother.

Your Loving Daughter.

8. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for listening to my prayers. I used to feel fearful when my spouse became drunk and violent. I kept praying to you and our Lord Jesus for protection. Lately my spouse has not been violent when he is drunk. He has also been able to keep his regular job for a few months. I pray that he will continue to work hard to clear his debts, manage his finances with prudence and help provide for the family. Mother, please continue to intercede for him and help him to fight this addiction. I have been praying for him for years and you have never left me alone.

Your Grateful Child.

9. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

I want to thank you for your intercession and our Lord for being a constant support for me. I have been baptized for 23 years and went through many challenges in my life – from divorce, to breast cancer and now I am jobless. I am still standing strong today because of all the blessings from our Lord and trusting that he has a plan for my life. With that confidence, I continue to enjoy my life, believing that God will never leave me or forsake me. I am forever thankful to you Mother Mary.

Your Loving Daughter.
