HISTORY
The Redemptorist Heritage Centre (RHC) was opened on 9 November 2021, coinciding with the 289th anniversary of the founding of the Congregatio Sanctissimi Redemptoris or the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists) by Saint Alphonsus in 1732.
Fr Eugene Lee CSsR, rector of Novena Church, dedicated the RHC to the Australian confreres who went through insurmountable challenges when starting the Redemptorist mission in Singapore.
The Guest-of-honour for the event was Ms Denise Phua, Mayor for the Central Singapore District and MP for Jalan Besar GRC and was attended by staff, volunteers and the Redemptorists community in Singapore.
