An Advent Celebration of Gratitude and Thanksgiving for the Year
This year, Novena Church celebrates its 75th anniversary of the blessing of the old church on the 14th of May 1950. We are grateful and thankful to God for his many blessings upon the Redemptorists, the benefactors, the laity and volunteers who have contributed to the mission of the Redemptorists, in Singapore and Malaysia. Novena Church a place of hope for the faithful who come for the Saturday devotion, fervently place their trust in the intercession of Our Mother of Perpetual Help to Jesus her son.

The first week of Advent emphasizes the prophetic promises of the Messiah, encouraging believers to reflect on the hope that sustained God’s people through centuries of waiting. This theme invites a confident expectation of God’s promises being fulfilled. (将临期第一周强调先知所预许的默西亚，鼓励信友反思几个世纪以来，天主子民在等待中的希望。这主题激发对天主许诺实现的信心。）

The second week centers on the peace that Christ brings into a troubled world. It encourages contemplation of how this peace can calm our hearts and minds, surpassing understanding. (这第二周围绕在基督为这纷扰的世界所带来的平安。它激发我们默想这平安如何能平复我们的心思念虑，超越我们的想象。）

The third week focuses on the joy that arises from knowing God’s goodness and grace. It celebrates the nearness of Christ’s birth and the gift of salvation, reminding believers that joy is anchored in God’s unchanging love. (这第三周聚焦于认识天主的美善和恩典所带来的喜乐。它庆祝基督快要诞生及即将带来的救赎礼物，提醒信友喜乐奠基于天主不变的爱。)

The fourth week highlights God’s immense love displayed in sending His Son. This theme compels believers to respond by loving God and others fully, reflecting Christ’s sacrificial heart in their lives. (这第四周突显天主通过派遣祂的圣子所展现的大爱。这主题促使信友借着全心爱天主和他人来回应，及在生活中彰显基督牺牲的心。)
