Thanksgiving – 8 Feb 2020

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

It was a rough year in 2019, my employer gave us notice that the company will be closing in 3 months’ time. I was very paranoid and scared as to where would I go. My financial status is limited and I still have other obligations. Weeks before Christmas, I spent almost every night with you in Novena Church seeking for your intercession. I prayed that God will give me a new employer before Christmas Eve so that I have something to celebrate on Christmas Day. Two days before Christmas, I was invited for an interview and 3 days later I was informed that I was offered the job. Thank you, Mother Mary for your intercession.

Your Son.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for interceding for my brother who was involved in a serious car accident in September 2019 and was summoned to court for proceeding. I prayed that the judge will be lenient towards him. To give him a fine and ban him from driving for a period of time. I just prayed that he will not be sentenced to jail as he injured a motorcyclist. Thank you, Mother, for your intercession. The judgement was passed and he was only banned from driving and fined a sum of money.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

We are thankful to you for your kind intercession. My daughter has mild dyslexia. Despite working hard, she always ends up with low grades for exams. She took her “N” Levels last year and managed to get good results and got into her choice of course in the polytechnic. Thank you for watching over her.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

You are indeed the Mother of Perpetual Help. I wrote to you in late December when my son was born, as he was whisked away to the ICU immediately after delivery. The delivery was prolonged and he had a bowel movement in the womb and there was a risk of infection in his lungs. My husband and I were anguished and had never felt so helpless before. We turned to the Lord and I wrote a petition to you, beseeching for the health and well-being of our son, yet knowing that everything is subject to the will of the Lord. Our son was eventually discharged from hospital and given a clean bill of health.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

It was years since the last time I came to the Novena Devotion. During that period, the Novena was held at the Church of the Risen Christ. After that service, my life suddenly took a steep downtown. My husband left the family and I lost my job. Both my parents fell ill and I lost my faith for a while and resorted to praying to other gods. Although the marriage cannot be saved but I thank you for the blessings you have given me in my job and the help given to my parents. I am confident that you will guide me in the right path. I promise that I will stay faithful to you always because I know that you will be there for us.

Your Grateful Child.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

This letter is long overdue. Thank you for your love and grace towards me. Thank you for granting my wish of getting a D7 in Tamil so that I can focus my time on the rest of the subjects. Thank you for interceding for me for the month of January and for not leaving me alone. Thank you for being so loving and so kind, and for your unconditional love even though I am a sinner.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for the blessing throughout the 17 years of my life. Thank you for being there for me whenever I needed your help. You have never failed to be there for me. Thank you for seeing me through my exams even though my results were not good enough but you were there to help me through the tough period.

Your Catholic Child.

  1. Dearest Mother,

6 weeks ago, I knelt before you at the shrine in desperation as I received news that my contract would not be renewed. I was very lost and I prayed for your intercession. Today, I thank you for the prayers answered as I have been offered a new job. Thank you, Mother Mary, you have never failed me nor my family.

Your Loving Son.
