Thanksgiving – 6 Jul 2019

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for answering my prayers, and for blessing my son and daughter-in-law who is pregnant. Keep them safe and pray that we will have a good relationship.

Your Grateful Child.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

There was a long period when my daughter doubted her faith and drifted away from God. She was deeply wounded by the treatment of her friends in school who are also Catholics. She attended the Youth Conversion Experience Retreat recently, she experienced the true presence of God during the retreat and now she is full of joy in praising God. Mother Mary, I am really grateful for your intercession.

Your Faithful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

Six months has passed and it was a terrible start of the year for my family. My mother’s dementia became worse and my siblings’ rivalry over mum’s caregiving almost led me into depression. I found myself shuttling between my own home and my mother’s house. My husband’s existing health problems also worsened due to my inability to cook for him while taking care of my mother. My husband kept telling me to trust that God will not test me beyond my limits. In despair, I prayed fervently to you and our Lord Jesus for help. Finally, I managed to find a reliable maid agency, hired a good helper and enrolled my mum in a daycare centre. My mum is now happier and her mood swings have decreased. I know that all these would not have been possible without your help. I pray that you would continue to watch over my mum and family and grant me the grace to forgive my siblings for abandoning my mum and forget the hurt they had inflicted on my mum and family. Please give strength to all dementia patients and their caregivers.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for always helping my family and answering my prayers. My youngest son has dyslexia and he was not able to read even after hiring many teachers to help. Last year, you sent us a gift, a teacher who was able to motivate and help this child who was so frustrated as he just could not get it right no matter how hard he tried. He has started to understand and is more motivated to study now. Thank you for sending the best help that he needed.

Your Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for blessing my sister and helping her to attain entry into the university. The past couple of months have been difficult for her but thank you for always being there for her. Thank you for blessing us with such hardworking and caring parents who have never failed to put our needs before theirs.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Through the years, you were always there and have never failed us especially during those sad and worrying times. The Novena is so great, it has brought me closer to God and to honor you.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for the wonderful holiday trip my family and I enjoyed in June. Through your intercession, we were able to enjoy the trip to Japan and spent quality time as a family together.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for answering my prayers. My husband suffered from a heart attack and was warded in ICU ten times last year. He went for three shock treatments but they all failed and he is still suffering from irregular heartbeat. He went for surgery in March to treat his faulty heart valve which was leaking. The operation took eight hours and the surgeon told me disappointingly that the surgery failed. My heart sank when I heard that. I did not give up hope. I prayed to you and you answered my prayers. My husband went to see his heart surgeon for the first review in June. He was pleasantly surprised to find that everything was fine with my husband and he has gone back to work. It is indeed a miracle. Thank you once again my dearest Mother.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I would like to say a big thank you to you for being such a wonderful, loving and merciful Mother to me all these years. Thank you for seeing me through my early childhood, my growing up years, my teenage years, my National Service, my job and my career and now my retirement days. Thank you for being there for me in good times and in sad times, in trials and temptations, in sickness and in good health. Thank you very much for being my dearest Mother of Perpetual Succour.

Your Son.
