Thanksgiving 5 Oct 2019

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I would like to thank you for answering my petition. I am so happy that my daughter-in-law has given birth to twins, a boy and a girl on 25th September 2019. Both mom and the babies are fine and healthy. This date coincided with me and my late husband’s engagement day which happened 39 years ago. I am very sure my late husband will be very happy to know the good news, too. Everyone in our family was thrilled to learn about the good news. Once again, we thank you Mother of Perpetual Help.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

My elder brother who is eighty years old, went through a coronary artery bypass on the 11th of September 2019. I was very worried because of his age, and came to your shrine and prayed for your help for a successful surgery. I prayed to you to be at his side during the operation.  Mother, you heard my prayer and through your intercession the surgery was successful. My brother was discharged   from hospital on Thursday and is back home. Mother, thank you so much for your intercession.

Your Ever-Loving Son.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I am 70 years old and I am a non-Catholic. I have been coming to your shrine since I was a young boy of about 12 or 13 years old. My parents brought me here. I have been coming with my family ever since. My family has been showered with your blessing in many ways. Sometimes we tend to forget. I am praying to be blessed to be able to visit your shrines in Portugal and France.

Your Son.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for blessing me with good grades. Thank you for keeping my family healthy. I hope I can get a diploma or a degree for my mother to be happy. Thank you.

Your Non-Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother,

Your Catholic Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

This letter has been long overdue. So, I had to write this to you the first thing when I arrived back. Two years ago, I wrote to you a petition asking your guidance for my new venture when I moved abroad, to Germany with uncertainty, no job and unsure of what the future would be like. I know that you have constantly been looking after me when I was living there. I slowly got used to the pace of life, the culture, made some friends and found a job there. I thank you Mother, for all that you have done. Without you, I would not have come this far.

As I take the big step next year to marry the love of my life, I ask you Mother to bless us and especially ask you to intercede to Jesus that the meeting of both families coming together this Friday will go smoothly and that my boyfriend and I will be able to express our love and gain acceptance by both of our families.

                                                                                     Yours Faithfully.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

I wrote a petition for 2 of my children. The younger one had struggled with her Chinese all along. I was worried as she is the youngest and her siblings have all passed their Chinese. She attained a B3 which means she does not have to take the Chinese exam anymore. Thank you. As for the older child, I was in despair over his orientation and his relationship with another man. However, he took the initiative to break the relationship. I am surprised and thankful. He still has feelings for the friend, but I know you will intercede and guide him. Mother, you have never failed to answer my petitions and I will continue to come to the Novena and pray. Thank you again.

Your Faithful Son.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your powerful intercession for me all these years of my life, especially after I went through a traumatic brain injury 9 years ago. I would like to recall that fateful night when I woke up from my 2 month long coma. I could not speak then, and the whole right side of my body was literally lifeless. My life was in ruins. It was a nightmare that seemed would never end. You must have appeared to me that night in the form of a communion minister from my parish. You even gave my dad a bottle of Holy water from Lourdes and a beautiful rosary. My mum placed these treasures on my bed while waiting for me to return home. After I regained my speech, I went home on my first home leave for the weekend. Lying on my bed, my right arm and right leg suddenly moved! Thank you Mother for visiting me in my darkest hour to give me your Son, present in the Holy Eucharist. It must have been through Christ that I have been able to achieve my rehabilitation and for me to be living such a fulfilling life today. I’m still inhibited by many impediments, but I know I will always be strengthened by your intercession. I can now face the future with hope.

Your Child.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I have come and placed my trust in you…thank you for hearing my prayers I sent out my petition letter last week mentioning that my dad had to go for MRI as he had a tumour close to his brain and thankfully you have blessed him and watched over him. The doctor mentioned that the tumour is stabilized and is not growing. He has to go for a check up next year. Thank you for the many blessings that you have given me and my parents. Please continue to watch over my dad’s condition. Thanks for answering my prayers and not forgetting about me and my family.

                      Your Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for my son’s safe flight to Toronto, Canada. This morning we received a message from him saying the plane reached Toronto Pearson Airport. We give thanks to God and you, Mother Mary for his safe trip. All of us were very anxious and worried on 23rd September 2019 when we were told at the airport that the flight was over-booked and there were no seats for my son and a group of passengers. My son was very QUIET. I believe he must have been praying very hard. Finally, after more than half an hour my son and another person were given seats on the plane but a large group of people were left behind. Thank you once again for your intercession. I gave my son a rosary before he left Singapore. I am sure whenever he looks at the rosary he will remember that his dad and mum will attend the Saturday Novena Devotion at Novena Church to pray for him. Mother Mary, please help him find suitable accommodation with a good Catholic family while he is alone there for the next 2 years. Thank you.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I just want to thank you for all the blessings my family is receiving. Thank you for the approval of my Dependant’s pass. My husband and I will no longer be apart. It is really an answered prayer! We lost our 1-day old baby last June but we didn’t lose hope, believing that that there’s a reason behind our grief. In spite of what happened, we will never question and will never get tired of praising and thanking you, Our Dearest Mother!

Your Daughter.
