Thanksgiving – 28 Apr 2018

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you very much for all prayers answered. Thank you for helping my son find his way home after school on Thursday. He took the wrong bus, got lost and was very frightened.

    Your Grateful Child.

  2.  Dearest Mother,This is a long overdue thanksgiving letter. Late 2017 was a trying time for me and my wife. We had a scare when a health screening disclosed a lump in my wife’s liver. I came to kneel before you to ask for your intercession. Because of your kind intercession, the lump turned out to be non-malignant. I am really thankful for your ever-present love and thank God for you to be our Mother.

    Your Son.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

No words can express how great your intercession is when we need your help. When we are in doubt, worried, anxious, and do not know what to do, you are there to help us. From the beginning when I helped my cousin who was diagnosed with cancer, so many people have come to give us a helping hand. All the staff at the hospital helped ease the journey for my cousin. Especially, the TCM doctor, who did not even want to accept any payment and indeed asked us to keep praying to you, which I will do so with this thanksgiving letter. Please continue to guide and intercede for my cousin through her recovery.

    Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,Thank you for my healthy family. Thank you for my older sister’s good results in her ‘A’ Levels. Please pray for my uncle who has stage 1 cancer. Thank you.

    Your Loving Child.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,First of all, I would like to say sorry because it took me years before I decided to write you a thanksgiving letter. Thank you for the courage now that I’m able to share this with my brothers and sisters.  It was during my college days that I started my devotion to you, Our Mother of Perpetual Help, until I graduated and passed the board exam. I constantly asked for your assistance. I knew God granted me this nursing profession so I can be an instrument of His Love to give a comforting touch to the sick ones. Being close to you, Mother Mary, is one way of relaying my prayers and my aspirations in life to our dear Lord. My devotion to you and receiving the daily Holy Eucharist strengthen my faith to God. I’m privileged that I have received a lot of gifts through your intercession. I’m forever grateful for my nine and a half years stay here in Singapore as my 2nd Now that I am starting my new journey in Canada, please continue to be with me. Thank you Mother and I love you so dearly.

    Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I want to thank you for watching over my family and protecting us during our vacation in the UK. It was a really nice break away from the busy schedule of work and the stress. It was also an eye opener for me to the beauty of nature in Scotland. It was a reminder of how amazing our God is, and gave me a whole fresh appreciation of life.

    Your Grateful Son.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help, We want to thank you for all the blessings that have been showered on us and our family. We thank you Mother, for the 50 years of marriage which we celebrated with our children in the U.S. last year. Please pray for our good health and help us to continue serving the Lord.

    Your Loving Children.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,It’s been a while since I last wrote a thanksgiving note to you. My wife lost her job last October and has been unemployed. It’s been disturbing and to a large extent it affected her.  She is currently undergoing a management program sponsored by the government and hopefully would e able to land a job through your help. Well I am very happy to tell that she just received a job offer and will be starting work on the 4 of June,  As a matter of fact, I am writing this thanksgiving note immediately after receiving her message. Mother, I pray that you will help her achieve what she wants in this new job. Mother, only you know how thankful my family and I are, for this wonderful opportunity given to  her. She loves to work and finally with your help she has secured one. Thank you from the bottom of my heart dearest Mother.

    Your Non-Catholic Son.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for answering my prayers. I had applied for my sister for a place at Temasek Polytechnic but when the result came it was unsuccessful. Due to God’s grace they gave her a second chance; that if there was any vacancy they would let me know. When I came last week to the Novena I prayed to you, Mother Mary and on Tuesday I got an email from the college saying   that her admission is successful. Thank you Mother for your

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

It has been ten years since I last visited you. I came back today to say thank you for making sure that the recent operation that   I went through was cleared of any complication. My family and I pray to you to get us through this stage and bless us with a successful procedure. Please bless us with your intercession.

                                                                                        Your Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for all the blessings you have given me over the past years. Thank you for the answered prayer regarding my spouse’s visa to Australia. It was approved very quickly which was so unexpected. I will move to Australia soon. Bless and guide our new journey together. Bless us to have a baby soon.

                                                                Your Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for answering my prayers. I came to your shrine to ask for a good life partner for my niece at the beginning of the year. In March, she was engaged and had a marriage proposal from her colleague. Last Sunday, we heard the good news of the solemnization of her marriage which will be in the third week of June. Mother, this is possible because of your intercession and prayers. Continue to bless her with a good and happy family of her own. We bless and thank God for His great love and blessings and yours, too.

                                                                                     Your Loving Child.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I thank God for leading me to your Novena devotion some 30   years ago. And I thank you so much for your constant care and consolation in my life. At that time, I accompanied a friend here not knowing that I would soon be calling on you for your powerful intercession which I have needed so many times in my life. At the lowest point of depression, I poured out my heart to you and even prayed for a quick end. At the end of the Novena session, a stranger who sat next to me turned suddenly and said she was asked to tell me that I was healed. At that instant, I felt God’s love pour over me and a great burden lifted from me, knowing that He heard me, no doubt through you. I cry each time I recall how I was saved here. I share this incident so that others will know that God listens and He bestows His saving grace through you to all who cry for your help. I still struggle with bouts of depression and self-doubt, but I know He has a way out for us no matter how bad things look. Through the years, you have been the gentle, loving Mother I always wished for. Now I bring my family to your Novena, praying that I will be able to lead them closer to your Son, Jesus, and I know they will always have you in times of desperation and need. Love you always.

                                                                     Your Son In Christ.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I thank you so much for interceding for me to be able to get a university placement in a local university. Though I was disappointed with my results, I prayed to you that you will lead me to a course which is God’s will. Please give me the strength to accept the course and the discernment to continue doing  God’s will. I love you Mother Mary.

                                                                    Your Loving Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Merciful Mother,

A few weeks ago, my grandma was very ill and was in hospital. We visited her early in the morning and said the Hail Mary, and with your help, she was discharged and is now back home safely. We thank you very much for keeping her safe and taking care of her.

    Your Thankful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your prayers for my basketball team. This year I wrote a petition for the team and the competition. Throughout the competition, I could see God’s hand upon all of us and on Thursday, my team emerged the best B division girls  team in Singapore National Championship. Thank you Mother Mary, for such an honor. Thank you God our Father for the victory.

    Your Loving Child.
