Thanksgiving – 21 Dec 2019

  1. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for giving me strength for 26 years of working in Singapore as a domestic helper. I will be going back home for good and I am grateful for everything that I have learnt in Singapore.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for all the love and blessings that you have bestowed upon my family. When I had some stomach ailment, my family came to Novena Church to pray and ask for your kind intercession and you have answered our prayers. And I was cured of the ailment and I am very thankful for the blessings.

Your Grateful Son.

  1. Dear Mother,

I thank you with all my heart for answering my prayers. I have been accepted into my dream university. Thank you for guiding me when I was lost and for walking beside me.

Your Child.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you, Mother, for all the blessings you have given me over the years. When my husband passed away 11 years ago and left me with a teenage son, you gave me strength. I prayed fervently to you, dearest Mother, to help and guide me. Through the years, I have been financially stable to put my son through to university. He is married today and a father too. Thank you for all your help and encouragement through the years. Once again, thank you for being with me.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

It has been quite some time since I last wrote to thank you for all the wonderful things that you have done for me. Once again, I am writing to express my utmost thanks for your patience and guidance in finally bringing me back to Church. I have been attending the Novena devotions since the time Latin was used for Benediction but have remained a “Free Thinker”. But last year I decided that it was time to embrace the Catholic Faith. I am sure it was not my decision but all the graces that you, Mother Mary, have bestowed on me that made me change. It was through your patience with me and your intercession that helped me to be baptised during Easter this year. Baptism has given me a new life free from the past and a chance to follow the Lord and the hope in the resurrection. Thank you, Mother, for granting me a new life with your Son, Jesus Christ. I have more to thank you for – recently I came down with dengue and was hospitalised with the danger of having complications. But with your intercession, I recovered quickly. I had just finished saying the rosary when the doctor told me that I could be discharged and continue to recover at home. Mother Mary, you gave me life again in helping me to recover from dengue so quickly. Such is the power of your intercession that it is only right for me to thank you profusely for the wonderful things you have done for me.

Your Grateful Child.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I wrote to you a few weeks ago, asking for help with my job situation. My company underwent an acquisition and my new boss was unkind and the new work environment was getting to be unbearable. I asked for your intercession and prayers for a way out. After a few weeks, I tendered my resignation and accepted a very good job offer. The new company has also offered to buy out my notice period. I know this is definitely not possible without your intercession. I have only ever written 2 petitions to you. And both times they were answered almost immediately. I hope people know that if they pray to you, you will intercede for them. This is my second thanksgiving letter and I know it won’t be my last. Thank you, Mother Mary. I am sincerely grateful for your intercession.

Your Ever-Unworthy Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I have been coming for Novena every Saturday since I was 19. At the age of 68, I have decided that I should say a big Thank You in writing for all the trouble you have taken to keep me going. You and your Son have been very kind and understanding, taking care of me and never left me alone.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I am very grateful to you. I came to you to pray for guidance for my husband and to guide him to the right path for the healing of his sickness. Initially, he refused conventional treatment and surgery. Through your guidance, he finally decided to go for the surgery to remove his esophageal cancer. His surgery was successful and is recovering well. Dear Mother, once again I would like to express my gratefulness for answering my prayers and blessing my husband with a successful surgery and speedy recovery.

Your Loving Daughter.
