Thanksgiving – 17 Feb 2018

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I would like to thank you for all the blessings that you have given me for the past years. I have been coming to your shrine without fail since I was eighteen, I am now 65 years There have been ups and downs but more downs than ups. Life has not been easy.

When I was in my teens, I prayed for my needs, some were answered, some were not. I asked why? During those times, you helped me in my O Levels. You assisted me in finding jobs. I had a broken relationship and was terribly lost, thinking that there was no point living. You came to save me from pain and disappointment and I was back on my feet again. Years later, I married a Catholic and we shared the same faith. I went through a lot staying with my in-laws. Working life was tough and I nearly ended up in jail. I prayed confidently that you will be there for me when I needed most. We were in financial difficulties and my husband was involved with loan sharks and my son and I were harassed by debtors and often had sleepless nights. My husband learnt his lesson and he has changed for better. Another worry came when my son came and hugged me one day and told me that he was suicidal and wanted to give up the faith and join another religion. We were helpless but we continued to pray to you. Six months later, he asked for a new rosary as he was touched by your Motherly intercession and returned to the church.

Today, I live with no worries and am comfortably staying in a 3-room flat with my son and husband. I have gone through all kinds of problems and you were there for me all the time, I can never thank you enough.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

My daughter had been married for many years and could not conceive. Many friends tried asking her to go for treatments but she declined. She chose to put her trust in you and your Son. Last year, she discovered that she was pregnant and she gave birth to a healthy baby girl last month. She had a fairly easy pregnancy although there were small scares along the way.

Mother dearest, my miracle grand-daughter would not have been possible without your help and intercession. I prayed to you to intercede for my daughter and you heard me. Please continue to intercede for her and guide her in being a good mother.

Your Ever Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I had an accident 2 weeks ago. Considering the seriousness of the accident, I was only slightly injured. The pain was bad initially but subsided over the days that followed. I remembered after the impact and throughout the time leading to the doctor’s attendance at the hospital, I never stopped praying the Memorare. Throughout the weeks, I was never left alone because you continued to remain by my side day and night. Your comforting presence and love reassured me. Thank you dearest Mother for being there whenever I needed you.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help

Thank you for staying with me and my daughters during our difficult time of grief after losing my husband few years ago. I know that without your intercession and prayers, I would never have been able to move on with life with great courage.

Your Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

I write this letter to first of all thank you for everything you have done for me. Mother Mary, I am not a Christian and I came to believe and trust in you through my Christian friends.  I have visited your shrine at the Novena and wrote a petition on the 6th of Jan 2018 with regards to a police case against me. You have heard my prayers and solved my problem. Thank you Mother, for your constant intercession.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dearest Mother Of Perpetual Help,

I had been blessed with a very good career since I graduated in 2001 but back in Oct 2017, I was retrenched. I felt so lost and did not know what to do. I prayed and was constantly showed support by those around me. I was very pressurized as I have a family to take care of. I was beginning to lose hope. Coming to the Novena always gave me peace and renewal. Today, I was offered a temporary job. Though it’s only a short term and the pay is reduced, I cannot thank you enough for your intercession. I am truly grateful for this opportunity.

Your Faithful Catholic Son.

  1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

Even though I am suffering from depression, I am grateful that I have you to guide me through my difficult times when I had no one to turn to. Thank you Mother, for your unfailing love and warm presence. Please continue to watch over me as I face greater challenges in my life.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

I received good news on Monday that I was offered a job in a company. After leaving my job in December because of a very negative and fearful environment, I wondered how long I had to wait for another job. I came to Novena Church during Saturday Devotions and often on weekdays just to pray. I felt a sense of calm in me whenever I was at Novena Church. When the good news came in, I was very relieved because now I have a job. As my parents are not working, being employed gives me and them a sense of assurance that there will be money coming into the household. Although this new job pays the same as my old job, I am happy to have the gift of work once more and a sense of purpose to live for every day. During the interviews I had with this company the people seemed warm, open and friendly, values that I treasure in a positive work environment. Thank you Mother Mary, although I do not know what lies ahead, please give me the strength to take one day at a time.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

The year 2017 has gone by and I turned seventy three in December. I thank you and our Lord Jesus, for every single year I have been on earth. The ups and downs have made me grow stronger each day but most of all I know that your Son Jesus, is there with me all the time. Recently, a very heartbreaking incident happened which was followed by a few small incidents for which I prayed and hoped will work out well by itself. Unfortunately, all the small incidents blew up into a big one and now I am suffering the consequences. You have given me the strength to handle the situation and I pray that I will handle it well.

Your Loving Child.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for blessing me with my lovely family. Without them, I don’t think I will have a good life. Today is my birthday and I wish the best for my family especially my mother and my grandma. Without them, I don’t think I can live happily.

Your Non Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

Words cannot express my gratefulness for your powerful intercession to the Divine Physician, Jesus Christ, for the speedy recovery of my youngest granddaughter from her recent break up with her boyfriend of 18 months owing to personality differences. She has since recovered emotionally.

Your Grateful Son.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Thank you for your prayers and intercession, I was worried about my health check-up and prayed for your help and intercession. I found a sudden sense of peace and calm that I have never experienced before. I have decided to leave everything to the will of God. I know that you would be there to walk with me. The check-up turned out well and I praise God for His mercy. Thank you dearest Mother.

Your Loving Child.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I thank you for your intercession, and God for His abundant graces so unexpectedly showered upon me and my family. I thank God for letting me do well in a certain exam and may all that I do now be for God’s glory. Mother Mary, guide us all and teach us to trust in your Son, Jesus.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

I want to thank you for all your blessings that you have showered upon us. You have involved yourself in all that we do. You have kept us all healthy and happy. I thank you dearest Mother, for all your blessings. Please help us to continue praying to you and your Son, Jesus.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

Words cannot express my grateful thanks for the many prayers that you have said for me and for my family. I know that it is through your intercession that my daughter who has been addicted to sleeping pills for the past few years is finally free from it. She was holding a good job but due to stress, she was unable to sleep at night and had to resort to sleeping pills to help her sleep. The high consumption of sleeping pills resulted in her having fits and she had to be hospitalized several times during the past 3 years. She was unable to function during the day and had not been working for the past 3 years.

I have been coming for the Novena every week to ask for your kind intercession and to ask your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to free her from her addiction. My faith and trust in you and our Lord did not waiver during the last 3 years when we were going through a very tough time dealing with my daughter’s addiction. My prayer was finally answered late last year when she was totally off from the sleeping pills. Mother, please continue to pray for her, continue to give her the strength and courage to move on with her life without falling again.

Your Ever Grateful Daughter.
