Thanksgiving – 14 Dec 2019

  1. Dearest Mother,

I was involved in a chain collision on 29th November, with my vehicle most heavily damaged. I am sure it was through your intercession that neither me, nor my passenger, nor anyone else in the chain collision, sustained any injury. Thank you, Mother for your prayers.

Your Son.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Words can hardly express the number of times you have helped my family and me these few weeks. I came to your shrine and sought your intercession to allow my helper and me to get tickets to meet the Pope in Thailand and we were granted tickets. On our way out we could not find any transport to the airport, but after I sought your intercession, we managed to get a Grab Car. Then we were hit with the terrible traffic and I was worried we’d miss our flight, but I prayed and asked for your guidance and true enough we managed to catch the flight. Mother, I know that these were all made possible through your gracious intercession. Thank you for always looking after us.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother,

I thank you for your intercession with your son, our Lord Jesus Christ, for healing my brother-in-law of the injuries he sustained from a drunk passenger. He was kicked and punched repeatedly and it’s a miracle, according to the doctor, that he was found to not have any broken bones or suffer any internal bleeding. Thank you so much for your love Mother.

  1. Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for the constant guidance and intercession for me during my ‘A’ Levels. It is my second time taking the ‘A’ Levels and I was very afraid of doing badly again, afraid of the anxiety while taking the exams. Mother, I am extremely thankful for your help in allowing me to feel more confident this time round and empowering me with the belief that everything was going to be alright. I am also thankful to you for blessing me with parents who supported me endlessly and constantly caring and praying for me. Thank you for all your help, love and guidance. I entrust my ‘A’ Level papers into your care and trust that everything will turn out well.

Your Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dear Mother Mary,

This thanksgiving letter is long overdue. Mother Mary, I sincerely want to thank you for interceding for me with your Son, our Lord Jesus for giving us a wonderful bundle of joy of a granddaughter. She is such a beautiful baby and is the world to her parents and to all of us. She will be turning 1 tomorrow. She is so precious to all of us and I want to thank you so much for bringing her into our lives. Thank you so much, dear Mother Mary.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for blessing me and my wife, we have just completed 20 years of married life and can’t but help reflecting on the numerous blessings that have come our way, including our 3 loving children. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for the unbelievable turnaround we have witnessed in our personal circumstances in the last year. Six months ago, my wife was in tears and forced to quit her job due to office politics and she had lost faith in her manager. Thankfully she has landed a job and now works for a very supportive supervisor and has rebuilt her confidence in the new environment. Please continue to bless her and keep us both humble to do well and continue to enjoy your Son’s blessings in life. When challenges hit us, please remind us to remain faithful.

Your Loving Son and Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

This is my second thanksgiving letter after 30 years. I thank you for always being there to listen to my prayers. You have never failed to intercede for me as most of my prayers were answered in their time. I was diagnosed with a severe eye problem which required immediate surgery. It was successful and my eyesight is slowly recovering. My granddaughter has been shortlisted for her dentistry course. Another grandchild did very well in his PSLE. My son is being accepted for his postgraduate course with a scholarship. Mother Mary, my grateful thanks to you for your kind intercession.

Your Ever-Grateful Catholic Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

There are so many things to be grateful for. Through your intercession, I have been immensely blessed for the past two weeks. At a church in Furano, Japan where I attended a Mass two weeks ago, I felt the presence of my Lord. An old lady noticed me and made me feel very comfortable by giving me a translated pamphlet of the Mass. She offered me a very kind and important advice to drive slowly and carefully in the snowy conditions, if not a sudden brake may send the car skidding on the surface. It was then I had a revelation of the precarious situation I was facing as it was the first time I drove in Japan. Thank you for this guardian angel, I will remember her.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

Thank you for your great love for my children and me. I started coming to the Novena when I was 16 years old and going through challenges in my teens and had no one to turn to. Today I am 55 years old. I am grateful for your intercession and your Son’s love for me. During these 40 years, you and your Son, Jesus, showed me unconditional love, patience and trust despite my sins and unfaithfulness. Both of you never left your watch over me though I was away from Church and I forgot you both. In my late 30s, when my husband left us. I had to come back to you and asked for your intercession and I was welcomed back with open arms. In the last 19 years since he left, I have been blessed with good family support, a good job to provide for my children, and friends and bosses you sent to help me. I am grateful for His great love and you Mother Mary for your kindness and giving me help when I faced challenges in my life. I hope to have many more good years to come till we are in your eternal kingdom.

Your Grateful Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

Thank you so much for interceding for me so that I could get the job that I really wanted. You did not stop there, you made sure that even the location of my new workplace is close to my house. What else can I ask for, Mother, you are the best. All this is only possible because of you. Thank you again sincerely from    the bottom of my heart.

Your Loving Son.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

My letter is long overdue and I am sorry. You interceded for my brother when I came crying to you. My brother was diagnosed with leukemia. Our Lord showed His mercy and one of our siblings’ marrow was a match. That itself was a miracle. The      marrow transplant was performed successfully. Mother, please help him to continue living with his new marrow and not reject it. We claim this from you, “despise not our petitions” because we are imploring your help and seeking your intercession. We know we would not be left unaided.

Your Loving Daughter.

  1. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for seeing us through our holidays in Japan. You never stopped taking care and protecting us through the years. With your care, you have let me live life again. On my 2nd night in Japan, I had a bad cough in the hotel room that caused me to black out. I thought that I was sleeping until I heard my wife calling out my name from outside the toilet. I suddenly responded and woke up. I was found on the floor and could not remember what had happened except that I was coughing badly. Miraculously, with your intercession to your Son, Jesus, I only suffered two fractures on my left ribs and could still continue with my journey there. Thank you, Mother for all your care for us.

Your Loving Children.

  1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for helping me pass my PSLE and helping me throughout. Thank you for your help throughout the journey.

Your Child.

  1. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for interceding for us that my sister’s MRI report is good. The growth is not malignant. Please continue to intercede that the growth remains benign.

Your Loving Daughter.
