Thanksgiving – 6 Feb 2021

1. Dearest Mother Mary,

Now I know why I am paired with my spouse. It is to make me aware and stop being emotionally needy. I was emotionally needy and now I can say I am not because of what I have been through in this relationship. I want to say thank you so much for helping me to see better and I am enlightened.

2. Dearest Mother,

3 years ago my family and I filed an application to adopt a little boy whom we have been looking after since birth. The journey was not an easy one with many challenges along the way. In 2019, I came to your shrine to ask for your intercession for a smooth adoption process. After almost a year of trying, the adoption was concluded late last year in our favour. Thank you Mother, for interceding for us and for giving us the strength to go through this emotional period. Thank you Mother, for this blessing. My family and I are very grateful.

3. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for healing my cancer 13 years ago. Without your intercession, I believe I would not be where and what I am now. I am able to continue with my career and received my 25 years long service award. Thank you for your blessings and interceding for me and my family to see my children grow up to be adults and establish their careers.

4. Dear Mother Mary,

It was a roller coaster ride since my son attempted suicide at work. The many months of treatments and his mood swings were intolerable at times. During my daughter’s wedding, my two sons fought and my heart was broken as both are my children. After many years, he is getting better although at times he loses his cool over the smallest thing. Thank you for bringing a nice girl into his life and we trust that you will see them through.

5. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for being there for me and my family throughout 2020. I lost my job in February, income was less and we had difficult moments. But through all this, you were there for us. You kept me strong and kept our family away from Covid-19. We had grant support from the government. We were able to attend Mass and the Devotion through the online service. God has blessed us abundantly through this difficult moment.

6. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for taking care of my family. It had been a challenging year. My grandson was posted to a school of his choice. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for guiding us along the right path.

7. Dearest Mother,

In the midst of the pandemic we were able to sell our flat within a day of viewing. It was most unexpected. I am now financially stable as we managed to pay off a smaller unit we purchased and has enabled us to have a small retirement nest. Thank you very much for making the sale possible and allowing us to move on without worrying financially.

Your Grateful Family.

8. Dearest Mother Mary,

Thank you for your intercession as my daughter-in-law had a safe delivery. Both mother and child are safe and healthy. The family is also free from Covid infection.

9. Dearest Mother,

I would like to express my apology for this late thanksgiving letter. I have been praying for your intercession for my niece. She was married for many years and is yet to conceive a child. I began to worry for her and have been praying for this special intention. Though it has been a long wait my prayers are finally answered. My niece conceived and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl last October.

10. Dearest Mother Mary,

I have yet to thank you for all the help and blessings that came to me last year through your intercession. Since the circuit breaker and breaking up with my boyfriend who didn’t believe in marriage or commitment, I started to get closer to my faith especially in saying the full rosary daily. It gave me so much peace and comfort in handling all the difficulties.
