Thanksgiving – 22 May 2021

1. Dear Mother of Perpetual Help,

We have a lot to be thankful for. Thank you for your intercession in protecting our country and making it safe. Thank you for the employment that is still abundant in the country. Thank you for watching over us constantly. We could really be a lot worse than we are now and I am very grateful to you and our Lord, for the many blessings bestowed upon us in Singapore.

Your Loving Child.

2. My Dearest Mother of Perpetual Help,

I came to you 5 years ago to pray for the recovery of my eye sight after I was diagnosed that I would be blind one day. One of the genes in my retina has mutated and will progressively cause me to lose my vision. My vision has been deteriorating since then. During the recent medical review, the doctor told me to look for another job as this job needed me to drive a lot. I was worried and very lost after hearing this as I have 3 teenage children who are still in school. I started to request for an additional petition from you to help me with my job search. You interceded for me and God responded by sending a social worker to successfully match me with an organization that is willing to take me despite my condition. I am extremely grateful to you and Jesus.

Your Catholic Son.

3. Dearest Mother,

I want to thank you for your intercession and for Jesus, for being there with me in my life. Looking back, when I was going through my downs in life, struggles at work and especially during my divorce, I may have thought that I was alone, even though I was always praying and seeking your intercession and prayers. However, as I reflected the other day, I realized how I have been blessed and that God and you were with me all this while, during those trying and hurtful times. It has been 7 years since the divorce and I want to thank you and Jesus for being with me and journeying with me. With thankfulness and gratitude, I hold no grudges towards my ex-wife.

Your Grateful Son.

4. Dearest Mama Mary,

My doctor has been advising me to go for a colonoscopy for many years due to my family history. I finally plucked up the courage to go for the procedure. I was apprehensive on the eve of the procedure but I prayed to you prior to the procedure. The result came back and was good news and a relief to me. I am most thankful to you, dear Mother Mary.

Your Loving Child.

5. Dearest Mother,

Thank you for your timely intercession to our Lord Jesus Christ, for avoiding a nasty traffic accident this morning when a car on the left lane suddenly stopped without any signal. I changed to the other lane narrowly missed hitting a food delivery vehicle. It was such a big relief for me.

Your Grateful Catholic Son.

6. Dear Mother of Perpetual Succour, t

Thank you for your prayer and intercession. I was retrenched last month and I felt betrayed by the company. However, I trusted that God has a better plan for me and He indeed showed that to me in wondrous and truly unbelievable ways. I managed to secure a new job immediately after I left the previous company. I also prayed that my Employment Pass application go well, yet God gave me so much more. He not only got the application approved, He also gave me a sweet gift of becoming a Singapore Permanent Resident. There are so many other wonderful things that happened such as the loving care and   support from all my colleagues, friends and family. All the blessings that I have received are truly beyond what I could have asked for or imagine. I am truly grateful for all of that. Thank you, Mother Mary, for your continuous prayer and God’s blessings in my life.

Your Loving Daughter.

7. Dearest Mother,

You have always been there interceding as my mum watches her weekly Novena devotion. It draws her closer to you and your Son, Jesus, and keeps her safe, well and happy. And Lord Jesus, your great love for my mum has blown my mind! Your love breaks down all walls – be it physical, mental or emotional. I am humbled and there is no way that my simple mind can begin to comprehend the length, breadth and depth of your love for each one of us, regardless of our condition in life. All you ask of us is to stay faithful, stay close to you and Mother Mary, and continue to love.

Your Grateful Daughter.
